  The apartment was neat and very well located, near the avenue of La Gran Via and just footsteps away from La Puerta de Sol, the street Hortaleza is very alive, many kind of stores are near the aparment, even a little, but very practical, convenience store where you can pack up with stuff to cook. Great value for money. - The location was wonderful and even though the staff didn't know any English, we didn't have any trouble checking in. We stayed in the family apartment with a private bathroom and there was plenty of space to move around. No crowding. The kitchenette was really helpful for keeping cold drinks and making oatmeal in the morning. Plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby.

  There was a lot to like about this hostal. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The place was extremely clean. Our room was pretty small but for a budget option we didn't expect it to be large. One of the best things about Hostal Zamora is the location. You can walk to all the big tourist attractions-Puerta del Sol, the Prado and other art... lo que la gente dice » museums, and the Palacio Real. There are scads of restaurants all around. You'd think it would be noisy but it's not. It's on a quiet square so yo - I am so sorry that I haven't asked the name of that super professional and kind guy at the reception. He was extremely careful, helped us out with all our questions and made sure that we were comfortable and safe all the time. The three recommendations he gave us (breakfast place, lunch place and pizza place) were all great. The hotel itself was not exactly what we were waiting for, but the location is great and everything was so easy. Recommend it.
