Location was excellent, a very very short walk from the Puerta del Sol. Very very very good value for the price.
Place was clean, and everything worked fine. Staff was very hospitable.
Honestly I've stayed at better places, but I certainly enjoyed my stay, and have no real complaints. Would certainly stay here again. -

Hostal Mendoza is located in perfect place: next to the central street
of Madrid - Gran Via and Puerta del Sol, where you can take the tourist-
bus and travel all over the city. Our double-room on the second flour
was always clean, the furniture and bathroom (with all the accessories)

The location is superb (if a little hard to find down a side street). Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to do everything to make our stay perfect. Was concerned a "hostal" might not be up to scratch but it was like any other 3 star accommodation. Room was large with fairly new ensuite and very comfy beds. There was nothing we didn't like and would definitely stay again.

Location superb - pedestrianised shopping strip right outside your door. Very safe area. Extremely helpful staff-thanks Mary and George for a great and comfortable stay. Rooms are bright, decently sized and everything works unlike some 4 star hotels I've stayed at. Fast Wi fi connection. Would definitely stay here again. -
