Ca La Maria was one of the best places I have ever stayed at. This is a brand new B&B that is designed with elegant, modern art throughout. It's at a great location, very central and in walking distance to many of the city's sites.The B&B is run by Maria who is an excellent hostess. She pays attention to fine detail and really made my stay worthwhile. Very friendly and informative staffs. Superb location. La Bouqeria Market, La Rambla Street, Metro station and bus stop is at the doorstep. The room was large with a balcony and shower. The common toilet was always clean. Breakfast was OK. It was the best hostel I stayed in my Eurotrip. If you are in a budget trip. This is where you must stay in Barcelona.

You get what you pay for and this was very inexpensive. All I needed was a bed and an en suite with shower as I was attending a conference and eating out at night. I got exactly what I paid for. I could have stayed at the renaissance which was 9 times the price but why bother as I never use the facilities
