The receptionists were very kind and friendly, I felt immediately like
at home so my staying was exactly as I would that it be, relax in a
quite place; Hostal Drassanes is in a good spot, not on a big traffic
road, near to shopping for whatever you need, it's a very clean
place with elevator, air conditioner, tv, wi-fi, bathroom in room. I
highly recommend as a place where stopping, it's also near to the
beach and the underground, but firstly the Mr as well as the Mrs at the

You get what you pay for and this was very inexpensive. All I needed was a bed and an en suite with shower as I was attending a conference and eating out at night. I got exactly what I paid for. I could have stayed at the renaissance which was 9 times the price but why bother as I never use the facilities.
Location, location, location! Had a really nice week in Barcelona :-) The hostal is close to everything. Barrio gotic is an exiting area for shopping.

gret location, one street from la rambla and the port area. although hostal type accommodation, the room was small, but neat and tidy. the bathroom appeared to be very new, which was good, as everything was extremely clean and in good condition. couple good little cafes within a couple of meters. good choice for a place to stay in barcelona, whilst being able to enjoy everything in close vacinity. catch the city tour bus for a gret opportunity to see barcelona.
very good location in Ciudad Vella and also not far from Gothic, little bars and restaurants around the corner, subway station also within easy reach, you get what you pay for and that was ok.

En verdad, no hay nada que no me gustó. Hubiera sido bueno tener una pequeña nevera en la habitación de todos modos me gustó todo.
Some noise from the school outside the window but who could mind the kids enjoying themselves in the playground?.
I dont want to complain on smallest details :-) I speak spanish, so its no problem with the staff not speaking english.
If im to complain about something its Las Ramblas. Dont eat or drink there. Its crappy and superexpensive. Try walking a bit away from it.

the towels were old, and hard. we had to book out at 10.45 am. too early.
room very small, balcony was not really usable, as too hot in the sun without sun-shade.
Very small room,no view only brick walls. But very clean.
very busy street,always a group of young lads bloking the entrance of the hostal, noisy at night.

Dirty, room smelly, touristic shower.
The room was not exactly what was shown in the pictures. It was kind of dark and almost no fresh air. There was only a small window opening to an internal area that smelled cigarettes. The beds were not comfortable at all. Too expensive for what it provided.
