Gwen & Johan were incredibly helpful, and offered lots of recommendations both for restaurants and (most importantly for us) wine tours! Indeed, we hadn't even checked in and had made the online reservation a couple of hours earlier and they were helping us book a wine tour!

Room was perfect, bathroom luxurious, car could park in the gated
court. Minibar was reasonably priced and lots of choice. Breakfast made
to order. Location very good if one wants to explore Stellenbosch by
foot. Very passionate hosts who love to receive guests from all over
the world.

Staying at Acorn house is a real pleasure. The house is well situated and nicely decorated with antiques , rooms are confortable and spacious , the hospitality is outstanding. I spent 10 days here as a solo female traveler and what a wonderful place! I really enjoyed my stay here. James really goes out of his way to make sure you have the best trip possible. He arranged a tour of Robben Island for me and a really cool cooking class in Bo Kaap. But what I was most impressed by was that the place was absolutely spotless.

Very nice room and a comfortable bed and shower. James, the owner, is friendly and helpful (he checked if the cable way to table mountain was open (because of heavy winds) and if a certain museum was open (because of public holiday), dropped me off at the Waterfront, as he had to go there as well, and arranged a taxi/shuttle service.

recommendations and answers to our every question. Carol, the owner is

The staff was wonderful-helped us plan all our day trips, arranged
transfers and even packed us a breakfast to go the morning we were
leaving since we had an early morning flight. The hotel was spotless
and the breakfasts were fantastic! We love the extra attention we get
from boutique hotels and this was did no disappoint. I state with my 3
adult children.

The owner of the lodge and his wife were very helpful and attentive. The lodge itself was quietly situated with views of the nearby bay and well laid out with excellent facilities. It was within easy reach of Cape Town and the beautiful coastline. Top marks from us and would definitely return in the future.
