The director George Mikhailidi is very helpful and friendly, he speaks very good English. Ask for him if staff speaks few English. All staff is friendly. The location is very central, metro and economic restaurants or fast-food is neadby. Rooms a the back side are quit. -

The hotel is a splendid old house in a very quiet area. Our room was very large and comfortable.
The buffet breakfast (included) was excellent as was the restaurant in the evenings.
However, the best feature of the hotel was the staff - friendly, helpful, and with fluent English. My wife found the bed a little too soft for her back - housekeeping quickly set up a mattress on the floor which solved the problem.
In short - highly recommended.

Apartment owner, Svetlana, was excellent with her emailing, cleaning and helping us find our way around St Petersburg, also her son, Paul, was very good when he greeted us when we arrived, showing us places to visit and how to get there. We felt quite safe and comfortable in the apartment, it was quiet and Svetlana was excellent.

We really enjoyed our stay in Kamerdiner Hotel! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were beautiful, comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was delicious. It is an excellent boutique hotel in a very good location. Everything is close- the Hermitage, Nevsky prospect, the Dome etc. Staff is very friendly, extremely helpful and polite. I'd like to commend Vasili,- an exceptionally professional receptionist. The hotel is full of character, decorated with taste which becomes the old building in the grand part of St. Petersburg. Very clean, has around the clock self-service stand of coffee and tea in the lobby, good internet connection.

Not only the staff and the guests are very friendly and pleasent but also the condition and cleanliness of the hostel itself is commendable. And of course the location is perfect as well. Excellent! The double room with Santa Clause on the fenster is very cosy. Plenty of space, good pillows, huge blanket, 4 spacy shower rooms - it all makes a good proof for the hostels' slogan Feels like home. Simplehostel made my staying quite memorable. And I did SLEEP WELL indeed :)

The staff was very helpful. They spoke very good English and were able to help me with translation issues and directions. I had a room on the street side, which I was pleasantly surprised did not have much noise. The room was comfortable and clean. There were a couple of English speaking channels on the TV. I really appreciated the outstanding service that that the staff offered to us. While there, I had my passport stolen by a pickpocket on a bus and Svetlana, a staff member, took us to the police station and assisted us by acting as a translator. While enroute to the station, she gave us a running commnentary on the sights in St. Petersburg. The food in the two hotel resturants were excellent, but the one called Marius had more choices.

This is the second time I've stayed in this hotel and I will definitely come back again. Location is terrific! All the main attractions and sights are within the walking distance.
