  Authentic Japanese ryokan/spa with tatami room with private toilet and sink, public bath and spa on the premises. A very welcoming and relaxing ryokan with an excellent evening meal and great Japanese breakfast, and no diffi\culty adapting these for a vegetarian diet. On leaving, our host offered to drive us to the station (depite it being only a few minutes walk), and he very kindly arranged to send forward an item that we had left in the room - at no charge. We could not have asked for better. Thanks to all for a lovely stay.

  Don't worry about the location, The owner will drive you to Takayama Station. The location near the river is terrific. Grilled Hida beef at food stall (400yen per stick) by the river at the morning market is excellent. - The Spa was the standout! But Iguchi-san was wonderful and the acommodations terrific!
