The housekeeper lady was extremely warm, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the city and the attractions. She made you feel very at home. My family and I stayed in Japan for 7 years as the company country president and I aware of what is good standard in Japan.

I love everything about the place. Athough the room is really small and compact, everything that you need is available. The bed is extremely comfortable and the bathroom is clean. The staff were great and they were able to communicate well in English. I had a fabulous time there. K's House in Takayama holds a dinner party once a month and I was really lucky to be there on that one day in a month. Great location, warm & friendly owner. Nice to mingle with other travellers too in living room which is full of information. The recommended eating places are awesome & I also liked the onsen/hot spring they have recommended. It's such great relaxing, rotenburo with nite view after a day walking. I will definitely stay here again if I come to Takayama.
