Don't worry about the location, The owner will drive you to Takayama Station. The location near the river is terrific. Grilled Hida beef at food stall (400yen per stick) by the river at the morning market is excellent.
The Spa was the standout! But Iguchi-san was wonderful and the acommodations terrific!

Staff invisible Morning bath time too short a bit remote from the station, and no restaurant around
it had a good location the bath room was nice
the staff didn't communicate much, no english speaker. you could hear other room people talking it looked more like a hostel than a hotel in terms of conditions
