Well, we've (my girlfriend and I) read some reports that were not
too complimentary about Podera Chiaromonte (do a google and you will
read them).
Our report is that the Hotel was everything we could have wanted and more. We had 8 days in Tuscany and it was amazing! Mauro and his mother and father run the hotel very well. The rooms are very clean.

Podere Chiaromonte is a gorgeous farmhouse on the top hill looking over the towns, countryside nearby. A 35-40 minutes drive to Pisa Airport meant a lot to us without rushing to get up too earlier in the morning.
Sunset was amazing in particular and I think it is a real gem hiding in Tuscany.

The hotel was lovely full of vintage items. the view from the pool was spectacular.At heart this is a family hotel and you can feel the love which has gone into it through the generations. we can still see the owner and his beautiful wife dancing , seizing a quiet moment after happy guests had enjoyed her wonderful cooking. the staff were lovely and the room spotless.. all the excellent reviews do it justice . we loved the garden with its sheltered seating spots

Sabrina was very kind to us, helped us switch a room and also allowed us to do laundry on a very small fee!
The place has an amazing view and is approx 1 hour drive from all of toscana highlite places.
The pizza place in town is very nice if you come at night and hungry. -

Very nicely conversion of an old vineyard into vacation apartments. Pleasant restaurant in the middle of the facility for coffee, aperitif and dinner (although for family pizza dinner use the pizzeria opposite of the reception). The larger pool was great fun for our 2 sons (10, 13).
