The quiet location of the Hotel overlooking the Bay. The excellent Leisure facilities. The island walks located on over 500 acres of the hotels woodlands

Beautiful setting with wonderful walks on the grounds. Excellent spa facility. Gorgeous old style hotel with all the trappings and very friendly staff.

Cannot think of anything that we did not like, though the restaurant is a bit pricey.

Service in the restaurant was disappointing both at breakfast and dinner. The older Irish staff were very pleasant but were constantly apologising for the delay in food arriving etc.

I wish we had more time to spend in the hotel. We didn't get to make use of the facilities at all and they looked fantastic. I've recommending it to my friends since i got home on monday!!

Location on Ring of Kerry, own grounds, views from hotel windows, friendliness of staff

Not much, though only one eating option after 5pm, which was the main, formal restaurant - no bar food option. Also, sauna not functioning during our stay due to wiring fault.

A perfect place to get away from it all - a little retreat in a beautiful and magnificient location. The Spa facilities are great and with the breadthtaking views - it just makes an idyllic and refreshing experience. All the staff are friendly, courteous, well trained and efficient who are keen to do everything to make your stay an enjoyable and memorable one.

Dinner is a little bit pricey for the actual quantity and quality of the food and this was the only disappointing aspect to the 3 days stay in the hotel.

The beautiful walks around the grounds. The lovely feeling of relaxation.

In the Spa area the sauna/steam room etc. were out of order as was the outside hot tub!

New spa and pool a big improvement. Good Guinness. friendly staff.

Pool temperature low, One steam room broken, No Curtains in Bedroom (blinds inadequate), Bar staff not experienced in Cocktail making.

A very small glass of wine for €9.50 I thought was ridiculous and when Iqueried the price the staff were quite abrupt.

The Spa, the grounds, and the comfy bed.

Beautiful surroundings with magnificent walks and views of Kenmare Bay.

Food generally not great and totally overpriced. Cooked breakfast very disappointing, nearly always cold!

Fantastic scenery and leisure facilities. Excellent food available. Quiet hotel as well.

The bar has poorly trained staff, and possibly understaffed slightly.

Relaxed atmosphere in the hotel and varied walks in the huge grounds. Also, the food was really excellent as was the new Spa facility.

Breakfast service was a minor disaster but to be fair on the final day the hotel had introduced a very good buffet system instead of woeful table service

The Spa and Pool area

The eating times for the kids was very restrictive 5pm-6pm and there was no menu for adults at this time if the parents where to eat with them. Also the bar menu finished at 5pm and unless u wanted to dine formally there was no other option for food after 5pm.
