Just loved everything. staff more than helpfull. I was so impressed that I got the names of the 3 people on reception, they were Chris, Slava, Maggie and the staff in the bar couldnt be more helpful. we were there as we were taking part in the ladies mini marathon. we got top class attention from apsolutely everyone we met. They kept our bags in the baggage area, while we were doing the marathon. we availed of the bar food on sunday evening and also after the race, and it was top class. todo comentarios »
The room was spacious and clean, the beds were comfy, the bathroom was a nice size, and the staff was exceptionally pleasant and helpful. This hotel is perfect if you want to be right smack in Temple Bar, you don't mind the sound of drunken laughter until all hours of the night and/or you are a heavy sleeper. It didn't bother us terribly but personally I did not care for Temple Bar and wouldn't stay in that area again. The hotel itself was grand. If you are set on Temple Bar Blooms Hotel is .
If you're looking for a hotel that's great value for money smack bang in the middle of Temple Bar, then Blooms is for you. In the heart of the buzzy vibey part of Dublin,Blooms has loads of pubs and restaurants on their doorstep. Major shopping areas are a stone's throw away. Staff were very helpful and courteous, rooms clean and comfortable. We were greeted with warm welcoming smiles and 2 tickets for free drinks in the bar! Just as an added bonus secure parking very close by at a reduced rat.
The location was amazing for anyone that wants to go to Dublin to party
it up and be able to stumble home without worrying about a taxi or
transport. Temple Bar is such a cool part of Dublin. Also the bar was
very nice and I found all the staff very helpful. They even drew out a
map for me when I was looking to find a local restaurant. I got free
drink coupons when my room wasn't ready when I tried to check in at
2 pm even though check in time wasn't until 3 anyways. Overall good
experience and.
The hotel was very accessible to all the local sites & shopping areas ... Therefore we didn't have to spend much on transportation as all was in walking distance. We expected it to be fairly noisy in the evenings because of the location but we were pleasantly surprised, just a few small disturbances but nothing to complain about as its a lively city! We liked the vat bar & it's traditional vibe, the room was brilliant value for money!.
The location was perfect, the room rate very affordable and the Pub/Restaurant was very good. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice shower. I stayed on a Sunday and found I could park for free at the wax museum around the corner until 0800 on Monday morning. There is also a parking garage 2 blocks away on Fleet St. As this hotel is tucked away the noise level from the street is minimal.
We loved Blooms Hotel it was so convenient and was in the heart of everything in Dublin. We
Enjoyed dining out in the many pubs in the area and hearing the traditional music that was on offer. If we return to Dublin, Blooms would be our first choice of accommodation and we recommend it highly. Staff were helpful and very knowledgeable about the area too.
Superb location near to the lively temple bar street. Vat house bar
attached was excellent. Room was comfortable and large enough. The power
on the shower was good and on the whole quite clean. Knew about the €50
deposit beforehand due to reviews so this was not a problem although it
seems strange as they hold credit card details anyway.
We arrived in Dublin first thing in the morning. Phoned the hotel to see if we could check-in earlier than planned. Staff were very pleasant and told us to head to the hotel and they would have our room ready straight away :) Staff were also very helpful when it came to asking for directions and the best places to go etc.
-the location was fantastic; right next to everything in Temple Bar, Grafton St, and O'Connell St.
- the room was very clean and fashionable
-housekeeping was great and respected my 'do not disturb' sign. they left clean towels in a sealed bag outside me door.
- I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends.
One of the previous reviews mentioned noisy, we did not find it so, but
then I don't think one stays in the Temple Bar area for peace and
quite. The hotel is very conveniently situated, clean and comfortable
with very helpful staff. Should I visit Dublin again I will definitely
stay at this hotel again.
Friendly staff who went out of their way to help. Comfortable rooms. Adjacent bar with helpful and friendly staff. Excellently located within Temple Bar so easy to reach bars, restaurants and shops or just to sample the atmosphere and sights of Dublin. Luggage storage after checkout.
The staff were wonderful, so friendly , and helpful , made me feel very comfortable , special thanks to Ruth , hope the owner appreciates what great staff he has. The hotel is in a good area for walking everywhere. My room was quiet as long as you kept the window closed.
I loved the location of the hotel, the room was lovely, bar right beside hotel, easy access to restaurants nd shopping area, close to hop on hop off buses to enjoy the sights and friendly staff. This hotel is great value for money would go back next time I'm in dublin.
To be honest, I purely used the hotel to sleep in as colleagues were in
a seperate hotel around the corner, so I had limited exposure to the
facilities. It was clean enough and excellently located. Bed was comfy
and I asked for a quiet room and the obliged.
I have stayed here a few times now and it never fails to impress. The staff are really friendly and you don't feel like you're being a nuisance when asking for help....oh and the beds are ridiculously comfortable. We shall see you next year no doubt!!!.
My room was at the fifth floor so the noise was not an issue. The staff were great and the free WIFI too, that I could use in my room!! Free tea and coffee facilities in the room, liked that. Good thing they have a smoking room in bar.
The location was excellent right in the middle of Temple Bar area and no noise disturbance during night-time. Live music in the hotel's friendly bar. Luggage facility was very useful. Beds comfortable, hairdryer and tea/coffee in room.
Location, Location, Location !
It couldn't have been more convenient.
Staff were excellent and very welcoming.
I will definitely be back and would recommend Blooms to anyone who wants a great little Hotel in the heart of Dublin.
location is excellent if you want to be in the middle of the action. Just step out the door, and you're in middle of Temple Bar. The Vat Bar, connected to the hotel was great, with a wide range of beers and friendly staff.
Blooms was clean, right in the heart of Temple Bar, close to Trinity
College, close to airport bus and Hop on Hop off bus. Numerous pubs and
restaurants of all ethnic taste. Free 1/2 pint of beer voucher for
in house pub.
very friendly & helpful staff . hotel has medium sized & very modern rooms & night time entertainment . great location in the heart of Dublin city close to the shop ,museums & bars & restaurants.
We were right in the middle of the Temple Bar area and it was a great location for us. We were visiting as a family and it was still a great location. Loved the facility and very convenient location for touring.
I have stayed here on numerous occasions. Love the location, the rooms are lovely and clean. Towels changed daily and room cleaned. The downstairs bar is handy & the complimentary drinks voucher a nice touch.
Service was prompt and efficient when asked for.
Good, clean , comfortable room with good facilities. No frills, no intrusions - exactly what one needs in a city break. I'll always try them first in future.
Location, Price, free wifi, nice 3 star hotel, i would highly recommend this hotel might be a bit noisy of a night, but it wasnt that bad really.
Check in was at 3pm, they let us check in at 12 midday.
Friendly welcome, large clean room and good fully stocked ensuite. Comfortable bed. Teamaker was a nice touch. Not having to ask for anything as it was there.
Would recommend it and stay again.
The location was great , close to pubs and restaurants and the front desk staff was friendly and informative.Rooms were good size ,WIFI worked great in rooms and pub food was excellent.
The room was basic but clean and had all we required.
It was very convenient having the VAT House bar and the Club M as part of the same building.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Our room was clean and spacious, with a functional bathroom, clean sheets and new towels every day.
The hotel is right in the center of the city and very near to the 747 bus stop.
- The location is great.
- Nice bar (remains a little bit longer open for guests during the weekend)
- The food is delicious
- Excellent if you want to spend a weekend going out.
The location is pretty convenient, also the street where it is located helps if you want to go to a bar or restaurant. The Hotel has itself its own bar, which is pretty cosy.
Great location for Temple Bar bars and shops and restaurants. No noise at night either. Rooms very clean and comfy nothing fancy but just nice and would stay again for sure.
Great location and price, close to everything, very friendly and helpful staff, rooms were clean, lovely bar, I was not disappointed.
I liked the value I got for my money !.
Fantastic location only a stones throw from all bars and shops. Friendly staff. Free entry to the nightclub if resident. Great atmosphere. Reccommend this hitel to anyone.
the hotel was very clean. the staff were very friendly. it was on ideal location. would highly recommend this hotel, and i know i will be staying here in the future.
I'm not a fan of having my room cleaned everyday during my stay but
they still left a new roll of toilet paper and 2 towels in a bag outside
my door on those days.
I thought the location was very good, easy access to all the city, the hotel bar was great. Very nice weekend. When we next visit Dublin we will use Blooms again.
Great location in Temple Bar and nice, spacious and tidy room with big windows, up in the 5th floor. Didn't hear any of the commotion down on the street and bars.
Everything is good and it's located in Temple bar, where you can have a lot of fun. For same reason I would not recommend it to the one who looks for relax!.
The staff kindly allowed me to leave my bags at the hotel which was great because I had a late flight home and I would have had to carry them arround town.
The value for money it was so central to everything and on arrival we all got a free drink voucher and a little gift pack i thought it was really nice.
Location was perfect for us girls, very central. Staff were really friendly, great entertainment in the bar at nights. Rooms were kept clean.
Perfect location, vat bar was very entertaining and open late and also free entry to disco.my weekend was great and yes I will be going back.
The location was fantastic and the VAT Bar was entertaining and friendly, clean , basic but just the job for what we needed and expected.
We liked everything about it, right in the heart of Temple Bar, good food, good bar & staff. Will be staying there again next visit.
location super stafff great beer choice all in all a fantastic hotel proper old fashioned irish hospitality a must stay for all ages.
This is the 2nd time we stayed here, we loved the Bar & Location of the hotel, The staff were helpful and easy to speak to.
The room was clean and spacious. We enjoyed the tea/ coffee facilities including biscuits. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The Location was ideal as we where heading to theatre. It is centrally located and when you check in you get a free drink :).
This has nothing to do with the hotel staff. some one staying in a room on our floor (we were in room 311) came home at approx. 3.40 and had no key for the room. so for approx. 30 mins they continued to bang on their bedrrom door yo gain admittance. I would think everyone on the 3rd floor must have been woken.
Do something about the slamming doors please! When you leave the room and let the door close on it's own it produces a slam that echoes throughout the halls into the rooms.
I had read reports of Blooms being noisy but I found it OK and wasn't disturbed by revelers (we were on the 4th floor and it was a Sunday so many of the weekenders would have left). We were kept awake though not by party animals but from an extremely loud and incessant alarm in a vacant building down the street. It nearly drove us mad. We had to be up by 6.30 and leave for an early appointment so that didn't help matters. Although this did blight our stay Blooms was not responsible for it.
The only thing I didn't like was that the floor in the bedroom was a
white tile and not carpeted. It looked more like a hospital room than a
hotel room and the bed moved when I was sleeping on the tile floor. I am
a restless sleeper in their defense but I thought it was funny that the
bed kind of moved 3 feet off the wall by morning.
Would of been nice to have an iron available in the room and the beds wernt the most comfortable. The lights flickered in the bathroom and bedroom.
Nothing.
A few touch ups to the seal in the bathroom (little bit dirty) and the
carpet in the bedroom ( coming up from the floor) would have scored the
hotel very highly. No need for the €2 per bag storage fee and poor
televisions.
I cannot fault this hotel in any way.
Absolutely nothing!.
Wifi was only available in the lobby. And sometimes not so good there. Very loud on the street with partners , although the staff were very good at keeping it out if the hotel . So I felt safe , even outside having a smoke.
Nothing really, though a bottle of water in the room would be a nice
touch (though in fairness tea and coffee facilities were in the room).
The fact we didn't book breakfast, definitely a faux par on our part. It looked really good.
The first iron I got stained two of my shirts so I asked them to change it. Its buttom was kinda dirty.
There were some really noisy air vents just outside our window. So we couldn't sleep with the window open, which made the room really hot..
Noise from street, needed to keep window closed. Generic Irish/mixed
music leaning to college crowd in most pubs. Tip> if you want
traditional session Irish music walk a mile west of river to The Brazen
Head on Lower Bridge Street.
A little loud at night due to the location but we don't mind that because we all sleep well.
€50 deposit on each of the rooms on arrival till check out, even though I paid in full prior to arrival. As a travel agent I've stayed in many Dublin hotels and have never paid a deposit. I also don't like the €2 charge to leave suitcases. This has only been practice in my last 2 stays there. The 2nd time I saved all my 1, 2 & 5cents during my stay to pay the charge! These are my only gripes & the hotel is still my 1st choice when planning a trip.
Nothing.
Would have prefered the bar without the "traditional" entertainment but that would have appealed to most. The "free" drinks voucher with conditions that were not necessary .
Lighting in bathroom was poor especially over the basin.
We didn't use the TV in the room very much but when we did it would've been handy to have a full remote control to allow for checking the TV guide and knowing what was on etc instead of a generic remote with just channel and volume adjusting buttons.
Despite having a note in the room apologising for the noise, the building works outside were annoying at 8am Sat morning.
- Rediculous fare of 2€ for stocking you luggage untill departure.
- Coupon for a free drink: Normally If you order a beer at the bar a pint will be served. But when it comes down to the free drink, it only covers a half a drink(pint)
- A lot of guests are drunk and will puke. For example: the info book at our room still smelled, the room next door had to be cleaned all day and smelled really bad after someone puked.
The Wifi is quite lousy as it doesn't get to the floors, so in order to get online you have to take your laptop to the ground floor. I think that's the only think they need to fix.
Staff could have asked if we enjoyed our stay they disnt seem bothered to ask. No problems with room or facilities whatsoever.
Nothing.
i have no complaints at all.
Nothing that we didn't like, maybe just an Iron in the room. Apart from that great hotel.
Nothing, loved everything about Blooms Hotel.
The only thing I didn't like was the quality of the breakfast.
The noise from the nightclub below made sleeping before 3.00am impossible.
As it is in the city center there is lots of noise..We had a triple a room and was quite small although only 2 of us stayed.
