Have had an eventful few days! Stayed with the lovely Rebecca Crosby and Gary Crosby at "Hotel bei der Post" in Bacharach, saw some beautiful castles (even one in the middle of the Rhine)! Had a great time drinking local beer and watching the soccer. Caught a ferry across to Rüdesheim and have fallen in love! Had real Rüdesheimer kaffee and waffeln at a very bayern-german restaurant while watching the snowfall outside. Our hotel room is gorgeous - so romantic and typical german. making a lot of

Wow. So I picked this because I arrived late and had another plane from Hahn the next day, but I wish I'd booked and stayed for longer - this place is amazing! Hidden wonder in the forest - it's a huge house in the quaintest town run by a lovely lady who was there when I arrived even though it was super late, and had everything prepared. I had a huge room to myself and it was like staying in a house. So good. Highly recommend.
