We loved the food and the company! Paula was a great hostess and a wonderful chef - the breakfasts were delicious! Being gluten-free, I really appreciated her efforts to accommodate and give me special treats. Wow what a fabulous place. I couldn't believe how big our suite was, more like an apartment.We had a full kitchen as well. The seating area was really comfortable and we had views over the harbour. The Himwitsa Lodge is a beautiful place to stay. The room was first class. It was very clean and comfortable with lovely decor and furniture and outstanding views across the Pacific ocean. The staff and proprietors were lovely, kind and helpful. We would not hesitate to recommend Himwitsa Lodge. Tofino is a lovely unspoilt place and we hope it remains so. Being from England, we didn't even mind the heavy rain.

The units are very private, well appointed and fairly new. The unit provides all the dishes and utensils you need to cook a meal. There is a shared BBQ available, lounge, hot tub and observation room for storm watching. Located on Cox Bay it is easy access to a lovely beach.

Food in hotel restaurant: amazing! Menu is unique, tantalizing, creative...truly a gourmet delight. The breakfast is perfect!
Accommodations: impeccable, clean, quiet, comfortable, luxurious...and we could leave the windows open for fresh sea breeze.
Location: remote enough to be unspoiled, close to marvellous trails and beaches.

The location is superb - looking out onto the ocean - and the lodge has its own private beach. Relaxing in the large, supremely comfortable lounge looking out on the beautiful scene ( as the rain poured down!) with endless supplies of coffee or tea was a real treat and a memorable one.
Freshly baked cookies in the evening were a nice touch too.

The whole thing was perfect, location, comfort, tranquility, privacy and facilities. Proximity to hiking trails, beaches and Tofino downtown. Best place we stayed on Vancouver island.

Nice view of the marina, quiet location, good beds, nice bathroom, decent fridge, nice balcony with chairs, outdoor area with picnic tables. Smoking is permitted on balconies, so that is a plus or minus depending on your preference. Easy walk to all amenities.

The location is good, I could hear the sound of waves and sea birds and see the ocean in the room. The style of this accomodation is resort not hotel( this is normal in Tofino). Every cabins are separated each other. The one building has 6 rooms. That was so quiet. The room was small but cozy. The staff are so kind and friendly, they helped me join some activities.

The hotel is well located, close to Tofino, but on the park side of it. A handy feature is that the hotel includes boat tours at a discount for whale-watching and to the hot springs, which was advantageously priced for customers.
