We really like the location of the hotel and the ease at which you can connect to many of the city's attractions via walking or using the other transportation services available. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. - Close to the Regent Theater and within our price range. additional fresh milk was supplied happily when requested.

the staff were very friendly and helpful the foyer had a beautiful perfume smell the hotel was in a perfect spot about 50 meteres to the Victoria markets and walking distance to the city. taxis and trams were just out the front deli across the road that was opened till late the café was just through the foyer doors will definatley book there agai

Love the location near the Victoria markets. Easy access to Lygon Street and trams to Carlton, Brunswick, North Melbourne. Close to rental car pick-up. Surprised how good the healthy breakfast was and coffee. Excellent value.

The staff were superb. Everyone, from the people on the desk to the cleaning staff to the people in the restaurant at breakfast time were polite, helpful, friendly and went out of their way to make you feel welcome without being 'in your face'. I liked the fact that it was situated near the city attractions but not
too close, hence not too noisy. The tram stop was just by the hotel or
we could walk downtown in less than 15 minutes. There was a small
supermarket right next door. We were on 10th floor and had the views
without the traffic noise. The staff were nice and helpful and the
apartment was roomy, comfortable and tastefully decorated.

Room was comfortable and clean. Booked a kingsize twin premium room but
put in twin mediocre room. Complained to management and they changed
room next day to superior kingsize but not twin beds. Worked out ok

The locations was handy for the three locations we had to visit.
the Reception staff were efficient, and friendly.
The room we were eventually given was clean, comfortable and quiet. It appears to have been recently renovated.
The Hotel is located close to many attractions and restaurants.
It appears that some rooms are better than others and that only some are as described in the
Hotel's description.
The buffet breakfast was pleasant and adequate but not sumptuous as described.

Arriving on a delayed flight into Melbourne via Sydney from Hawaii, we expected all sorts of problems upon arriving very late at the Somerset.
However, I must complement their staff, in particular Paul Dale, who were very helpful and understanding.

i like there are lots of electric and home appliances, like microwave oven, washing machine, stove, etc. There are shops and supermarkets nearby thus cooking in the room is very convenient esp. my mother is a vegetarian. It also near the melbourne central, queen victoria markets. And many tourist points can be reach on foot. (If you don't mind to walk)
