I liked having the mini frig and loved the health/beauty products. The furnishings were comfortable; you could read very nicely in the armchair or use laptop with the attached table. It was very quiet for a hotel that had weddings parties etc. The parking rate was reasonable for hotel guests & not as outrageous as some I have stayed with covered entry from inside the hotel - a plus! Would definitely book again.
all reviews » I usually use this hotel whenever I visit to Weatchester. The room is good for me, but this time, the location was bad. It was because of the price I paid? Anyway, The service was wonderful! I like their free coffee and tea service at the room. It is more better that if there are some free bottles of water for its service. The helpful staff and their courteous manner. In particular, they assisted us with a ride in your shuttle bus to our car hire company. The room was comfortable. Staff was quite attentive, especially front desk and valets and bell staff. Lobby/bar area was large and comfortable. Bedroom was a good size and bed was very comfortable. Close to Mall, Restaurants and Business center. Had Fitness facilities. Elegant and clean. I loved how they used every nuke and cranny. Friendly staff. The interior was lovely, very clean and modern. Large rooms with nice amenities. Room service was timely, well prepared and hot. The Crown Plaza was clean and has a good location for shopping and eating. Unfortunately, the sound of party made a horrible night.. because my room was close to the banquet room?. It was too noisy. We expected the windows to be double glazed. We kept hearing the traffic noise all night. The restaurant was awful. The kitchen was slow, and although we only had breakfast, we waited about 40 minutes for an inedible frittata. It was greasy, off tasting, and overcooked. Our waiter was kind enough to take it off bill. Hotel charges $10 per day for wifi...this day and age it should be free and universal. Paid additional rate for entry to concierge lounge for free drinks and breakfast only to discover it didnt operate at weekends.Was given a voucher each for 2 items at cafe bar which got me a coffee and a yogurt!. not the best front door staff other than that all were friendly. One elevator should be marked "Service Elevator". One of my friends got stuck in it for 5 minutes. When I went on the elevator it did not respond to the floor button so I got off....eventually I caught on that it was managed by the service people. Extras such as wifi and breakfast clearly priced to maximize markup and not to be a cost effective customer service (I.E. I felt ripped off). We have been better served by other accommodations in the area on previous visits. Lot of litter in the hall ways. Rude front desk staff, shuffled to three different staff members to handle my check in just beacause I wanted to pay cash. Treatment seemed to be of distain because I wasn't a corporate "type", this seemed be the attitude if most of the staff. The hotel lacked amenities, spa, movie options. The Wifi is not Free and the Bell hops are lazy. I would only recommend this hotel if you are looking for the bare minimum amenities of a 3 star hotel. It is beyond me how this hotel got 4 stars.
