The setting could not be more beautiful. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and very lovely. The public spaces are sumptuous and elegantly appointed. The rooms while extremely basic, and more like a well designed motel than a resort still had the finest textiles. Thick towels and pillow top beds with high count sheets. It's quite a steep walk up from the beach but for anyone who wishes they will send a golf cart driven by attractive young staff to make the journey easy!.

We wanted something that was not on the menu and they accommodated us very nicely. we we running short on time as we were going to an event a few miles away and when we told him this he brought us the bill immediately. He could not have been nicer!!!. The entire property is very beautiful, water front, two pools, a large spa, wonderful restaurants, really good food, 2-3 bars and a friendly, helpful staff. The room we stayed in was clean and very nicely decorated. We liked our room with the water view and the balcony. We enjoyed the pool area. The Thanksgiving brunch/dinner was wonderful with a great variety of options. Perfect for what we wanted, which was going to Essex steam train. Hotel was close and was a great value, especially at off-season prices. spaciousness, privacy, exclusivity, classic design and décor Efficient and accommodating staff. Food was excellent Ground areas kept manicured Rooms very nice and comfortable. Been here more than once and it did not disappoint at all!. Great location nice staff good amenities. Close to outlets. Very clean. Setting was lovely. Right on the beach. Location. Location is pretty. Rooms are like a nice motel, not an elegant resort. The pools are small, totally unsuitable for lap swimming though the hotel literature says part of the outdoor pool is set up for that use. The gym is a bit haphazard with a couple of treadmills and bikes, some free weights and a 4 station exercise machine. Too dark, too crowded, kind of a last minute thought. This could be a real "A" location, but they chinzed out on too many of the amenities. I can't honestly say there is something we didn't like, except that we didn't stay longer. We made a reservation for 3 pm for the brunch/dinner for Thankskgving but had to wait until 3:45 to be seated. It was also awkward to have to keep gong up and down stairs for the food service. you might want to serve fewer people but put the food on the same level as the guests. no elevator in our bldg...Fenwick. we needed to leave the grounds to get breakfast. didn't want the whole brunch buffet and couldn't get simple breakfast. No mini fridge in the room and vending machine that would not accept a $5 bill. No fridge in room but minor. unsupervised activities wi-fi was a little weak. Should have more people working in the kitchen by pool took a while for lunch. Food was only ok...expected better. Sunday brunch was very good. Ordered room service for Saturday breakfast....missing coffee, missing side order of bacon...missing toast on one dish....cheese put on scrambled eggs that was not ordered....no salt or pepper on tray...really mediocre for $50 breakfast. Had both types of lobster roll at one restaurant and both were not good..very little flavor and lobster tasted old. Seems to be run by many young college kids..The dinner was not good at all...long wait and mediocre food. Dessert came melted on the plate like soup! SPA NEEDS MAJOR UPGRADE. Price and service. Old Dirty Rugs, Called Room Service, House Keeping, Maintenance....No Answer..I Walked Down To Lower Level To Ask For help. Tried to use spa, sold out. Brunch was a complete rip-off: mediocre food and nearly $40/person. Staff wouldn't help w bags. No hotel shuttle? No one anywhere in hotel at 6am Sunday (front desk empty, no one to to be found. Etc, etc.
