This hotel is in a great location to see all the dc attractions, I think they must give their staff happy pills because these people are unconditionally pleasant all the time. From the assistant front desk manager Julie to the unbelievable Concierge Elizabeth you cannot beat this staff. The hotel is decorated fantastically, the rooms are huge, everything works. The location is great for local restaurants and a nice 30 minute walk to everything. The only thing I would make the manager aware of i.
all reviews » This was one of the best hotels that I ever stayed as a tourist. The quality you get for the price you pay is phenomenal. (Most of) the staff was extremely friendly, especially the girl at the reception who helped us with the check-in. The room and the bathroom have everything you need and even more. The room delivery service works as it should. All in all, a great choice. Grand king suite rooms are terrific ...with couch and coffee table. After a few weeks in hotel rooms it is great to have space. This hotel is historic, elegant , quiet, comfortable beds/pillows. DuPont quick easy walk to subway. We walked to Georgetown that takes about half hour quick walking. Anderson house next door is a must to see .open daily 1 to 4. The location is absolutely perfect. We walked to starbucks, and cvs passing lots of restaurants on the way. The Hotel is perfect. Our view was beautiful. The staff is wonderful. The room service is better than a lot of restaurants I've eaten in!! The Fairfax is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We had never been to DC and got great recommendations of places nearby to eat and things to see beyond what we had planned. The door staff even grabbed us a couple of bottles of cold water when we came back in on a hot afternoon after visiting the zoo. Staff was helpful; letsbookhotel.com provided a bad service in the service, but to compensate us the fact our room was not available, the Fairfax provided us an amazing suite! Really cool!. The hotel is in a great vibrant neighbour hood with lots of places to visit as well as bars and restaurants. The hotel is clean and tidy with a comfortable good sized rooms. Not that much to be honest - I guess the valet parking was efficient. The only thing that I didn't like about the hotel was the attitude of the valet, who gave us 15 minutes to move our car from the valet parking spot when we were checking out and said he would move it to the parking lot and charge us 30 bucks otherwise. As of yesterday, no call has been received. We are disappointed.... Buyers Remorse. I thought the parking cost was a little high. The room was a bit small. Opted not to pay $40 to park, so had to find alternative parking. Noisy air-conditioner in room. Accustomed to a complimentary buffet breakfast...not here. No free internet in the room The lobby is too small and not enough chairs. Expensive vallet parking. The pillows. They are heavy as bricks, and terribly hard. Those feathers weigh a ton. why for such a nice hotel do you not use proper cups for the coffee maker - paper is not great and spoils the feel of a nice hotel. Also, as we ended up with two couches being set up it would have been nice if this was done automatically rather than having to request it after we returned from supper - made the evening very long before bedtime. Wifi Costs, and I got an extra cost upon checl-out of usd 40 - why ? I returned the Converter, which as such was of no use. Booking reservation was missing, as I cancelled and booked again later- on. Also, air flow in the room is too noisy. Extra price,plus the wifi services charging. No pool Slightly tired building. In need of a refurb. pay $ 40.00 to park. 20.00 would of been fair. Parking- $47/ day- outrageous!!!!. After a long drive from ny, I checked in and the person at the front desk told me that I don't have any reservation. But I told him I booked 2 nights at letsbookhotel.com and he said let the manager help me and the other side of the counter helped and checked my booking at letsbookhotel.com and she printed my booking and few minutes we got the room. But it was a little bit hassled for my family.. The valet parking was so expensive and I have to pay for the internet for 12.50 dollars a day... I booked a "Double Queen" room but only "Double Full" rooms were available--the hotel was overbooked so I got downgraded. A long wait at the reception to check in - for no apparent reason. Staff that would not do anything unless they suspected a big tip. Breakfast looked terrible - we walked in - took a look at what was on offer and decided we could get something much better for a fraction of the price. Would not stay here again.

Proceed on to Thomas Circle. Stay in the middle lane and return to Massachusetts Avenue. Continue on circle to Dupont Circle. Continue on circle to Massachusetts Avenue. Continue on a quarter mile. The hotel will be on the left.

From Dulles Airport:
Take Interstate 267 To Interstate 66 East. Cross the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge and stay left, taking E Street through the tunnel. After exiting the tunnel, take the first left onto 20th Street. Proceed 10 blocks and turn left on Massachusetts Avenue. The hotel will be 1.5 blocks ahead on the left.

From North:
Take Interstate 95 South to Capital Beltway. Exit Interstate 495 West to Silver Spring. Exit 33 Connecticut Avenue South, Route 185. Continue on Connecticut Avenue for 8 miles, turn right on R Street. Turn left on 21st Street. The hotel is on the right.

From DCA - Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport:
Exit the airport to Interstate 395 North/Route 1 North. Cross the 14th Street Bridge and stay in left lane. Proceed 14 blocks and turn left onto K Street. Proceed 6 blocks to 20th Street and turn right. Proceed 5 blocks to Massachusetts Avenue and turn left. The hotel will be 1.5 blocks ahead on the left.

From South:
