It was nice and easy to pull our car right in off the street and be assisted by someone right away who brought in our luggage and parked our car. We got to the hotel earlier than check-in time and at first there wasn't a room ready, but a very nice gentleman at the front desk got us into a room within minutes. The room was very nicely decorated and clean. Loved the free Wifi, the flat-screen TV, the very comfy bedding, nice chair and small couch to relax on, the location of the hotel (right .
all reviews » The location of the hotel was excellent - close to shops and restaurants. The bus stop for the conference center is right outside thd hotel - an added bonus as was the free wifi. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, making it a great stay, even for a single female traveller on business. I'd definitely stay again. The only problem was that the room was a little stuffy and when I put on the air conditioner warm air was coming out no matter how much I turned down the temperature indicator. (Possibly the cooling system was off because it was late October.) The first room we had was very tired and the electric plugs potentially lethal. We changed to a refurbished room. Bathrooms somewhat cramped. breakfast was fair but much better last year. Quite high prices for room. The room looked tired and the bathroom was very small. Bathroom needs remodeling. The man at the reception told me he would could back about a question I had, he never did. - bathroom is very-very basic: shower falling apart; no counter space to put your toiletries on; - airconditioning is very loud and not very efficient - carpet dirty - closet door falling apart - coffee maker terrible - housekeeping very loud early in the morning - roomservice mediocre. Whatever you do don't stay in room 601 as that's located right next door to the 'gym' (2 machines) which meant that we were woken up at 6.30 by someone on the treadmill. Apart from that good stay. Shabby room. Its clear that the ownership/management knows they have an incredible location and are not putting any money into renovating or even doing basic professional quality repairs. Towel bars were $1.99 Home Depot quality and plaster was smeared over old mounting holes. Mildew on grout and caulk in shower stall and ancient Walmart furniture. The reception staff are bad. It needs renovation. Old, shabby place. Won't stay there again. The place has grown tired. Nothing worked properly. I won't stay there again.
