We were not planning to stay there on our way back from Duluth, but were so impressed with the staff and facility that we tried to book a second night on the 5th, the placed was booked for that night but we lucked out and got a cancelled room. Lady who runs the breakfast bar is outstanding. Do not loose her!!. The rooms were clean and spacious, the morning breakfasts were good and the menus changed from day-to-day to add variety. It was nice to have a coin operated laundry that wasn't outrageously expensive. It was also nice that our family rented three rooms and were all in close proximity to each other.
all reviews » The hotel staff knew that a number of people had to leave early in the morning so they put out a hot breakfast before 7am, when it is normally available. This was very kind of them. The room was clean and comfortable and the location was also very easy to find, being on Hwy 371. The room was clean and comfortable and the people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again! Price was bery reasonable for how luxurious the room was. The room was excellent, nice size, it's always nice to have a refrigerator and microwave and it was exceptionally clean - the free breakfast is why we stayed and we plan to come back next year!. The Country Inn had a variety of foods available for breakfast, the hotel appeared to to well kept and the beds were EXCELLENT! We also had a very nice view of the lake from our room. Very friendly & convenient place. Not the most original decor or the spiffiest hotel ever, but it doesn't claim to be, and the price is certainly right!. Dog friendly, clean, GREAT breakfast, lovely location, window that opened, microwave, coffee maker, fridge, hairdryer & iron all in room. It was fine for the money, quite, most of the views were looking at the parking lot not the lake. We were traveling with our dogs very nice set for pets rooms very clean no pet orders. I liked the price and the breakfast and our room was nice. Nothing. Can't really see the lake from the lakeside rooms but you would have to cut down all of the trees to make that possible. Nothing!. nothing. Breakfast was very poor Breakfast pizza ? really very poor choice for a family and heard other business men complain about this also. The heating system in the room was very noisy...unusual....but it was...needs some sort of tune-up. other than that..the room was very nice...and comfortable. Whirl pool tub wwas incredibly loud and disturbing. the toliet running. We wanted to stay an extra night and they were booked when we arrived and when a room did open up they wanted to charge us twice as much. That is just wrong. outside noise no "regular" tea. Could you have more fresh produce in your breakfast menu? More healthy alternatives (biscuits and gravy seem not the best breakfast from a health perspective). Nothing...would stay again. No elevator to second floor. Just wish it was a little closer to the shops on Main St. needed 2 beds room had 1.
