Satisfied guests! Comfortable, clean studio room for 2 adults. Convenient to Volcano Village and Nat'l Volcano Park. Very quiet & private in beautiful tropical rainforest setting. Simple booking & check-in process, unintrusive staff is available if needed. Kitchen was adequate for breakfast & lunch prep and we appreciated the included breakfast items. Large front porch area, washer & dryer located between units. Warmed up quickly with 3 space heaters.
all reviews » Convenient to the Volcano National Park. Clean. Cozy. Washer/Dryer available for use in breezeway. Extra pillows. Full kitchen (available but we didn't use). Internet, Cable. Covered Porch. Ours was an efficiency type unit. There is what appears to be a family unit next door. It shares breezeway. The large porch is shared but has some lattice type privacy barriers up. Separate entrances as well. We stayed in the Queen Suite and the accommodations were great! The place is located 10 minutes away from the Jagger Museum observatory, which is the best place to view the volcano from inside the park, and was secluded from outside action. The suite was very clean and well kept. Very roomy. When we arrived, not all the breakfast items were there (no eggs/milk/bread) so I called and a very nice young woman brought over the items very promptly. Good breakfast, Eco-friendly bath supplies, comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, unexpected extras like umbrellas and flashlights to borrow. I loved the full Kitchen and was able to do laundry, because we had a tight schuedule preforming at the Volcano Park. Very nice place; comfortable and well stocked. Perfect place for a family to stay while visiting the area. Well stocked, updated, roomy, clean, comfortable, private,food great- made it easier for us. Every detail was covered, from flashlights for night hikes to ponchos for possible rain. Staff, size of the room, kitchen tools, banana bread made for breakfast ;). Nice fresh fruit & juice provided, wished they had a blender. Studio unit is good for two but I'd prefer the 2-bedroom unit for my family or for an extended stay. The roads are unlit and very dark so be sure to bring the directions if arriving at night. There is no a/c which we did not need. Maybe you never need it here but coming from the mainland I thought I should mention it. We visited 9/12-9/16. Although this place was excellent we found it a bit overpriced, as well as all other surrounding places to stay. The website should clarify that the "breakfast" is really just breakfast items left for you--not a problem but not clear. I really hate spider webs and there were some gnats caught in webs in the bathroom. Creeped. A bit pricey for the off season. First cottage we had smell bit like mold/moisture (Queen Emma). We got another one and it was ok. Staff handled it very well. Missing air-conditioning might be an issue if it s very hot, but during our stay nights were more like chilly up there even if daytime the cottage was very warm.
