GREAT value! The hotel was so close to Penn State which was the reason for our trip. The staff was friendly and professional and the hotel was clean and had free wi-fi. The price was a real bargain. I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again if the need arises. Location is excellent when visiting Penn State. Very helpful, courteous staff. Convenient, inexpensive parking. Nice banquet facilities and restaurant/bar on premise. Larger rooms/bathrooms that was nicely decorated with "old world" charm.
all reviews » I liked the general atmosphere in the hotel, quiet and comfortable, pleasant surroundings. I liked the availability of parking, although I would have preferred it to be free. What a pleasant surprise. The king suite is spacious and very comfortable. Clean. Quiet, and inexpensive. Be advised there is a $7.00 a night charge to park your car. By far one of the best hotels I've stayed in. My friends and I are a bunch of college kids and we felt like we were at home. Staff was very nice and accomidating. Excellent staff service, absolutely phenomenal room-service breakfast, extremely convenient location, sufficiently darkening curtains. Food at restaurant was very good. Open for all 3 meals. Close to Penn State campus. Staff was friendly/helpful. The staff was nice and friendly. We had a problem with the air condition and a maintenance was fast and nice. Very nice rooms, beds, bathrooms. However my room faced an alley and it was really noisy. Staff very pleasant Lobby quite attractive. Comfortable, clean rooms with all amenities. My room was beautiful. The heating system is old and difficult to regulate. Although there were two of us in the room, there was only one serving of regular coffee. We would have much preferred one each. N/a. Little bit dated, carpets could be replaced. Noisy alley. I would have like a smaller room, just 1 bed that would have cost a little less, I am 66 y/o and was staying by myself that night. The bathroom in particular, especially the shower, was not particularly "user friendly" for taller people (shower and mirror) and I am only 6'3". Fee for parking at hotel. Could have had more towels in room. Breakfast was a bit overpriced and service was slow. the Mattress was very old and uncomfortable. The lobby is beautiful but the room need some updating. Amenities were very weak. Extra charges over that quoted by letsbookhotel.com Bar and Restaurant closed in evening. the parking fee. paying to park. No free coffee; high price of food and drink items available for purchase in room. The air unit was horrendously loud and kept me up all night. Additionally there was a snack bar wrapper on the ground near the bed when we arrived which made me question the cleanliness of the room. Being charged a booking fee. Needs a renovation. Poor wifi. No water pressure.
