The hotel was amazing, so relaxing and beautifully done up. The restaurant/bar was also a very nice surprise - really good food and wine, in a great environment. Interesting area, not too touristy which we liked.

This was my first trip to sf taking my 13 year old granddaughter. The

ways to travel around the city. The breakfast was simple but all that

delightful. The rooms were bright and very clean. No coffee maker or

The staff were so friendly and welcoming and all, especially the concierge Ray, went out of their way to help. We felt genuinely welcomed and appreciated the insider tips on using a Munipass or finding a good place to eat.

The staff were excellent: friendly and helpful and were able to give us great tips. The cookies were a huge hit with the children and the access to hot tea ( something not so common in USA) was wonderful! The hotel was quiet and although the eating area for breakfast is small, there was never a problem finding somewhere to sit and eat. Having parking was also excellent.

The Hayes Valley Inn is located in a wonderfully eclectic neighborhood with a number of interesting shops and galleries. Hotel is spotless; the manager, "Yogi", willing to help in any way (e.g. she got us a 3 liter water bottle instead of the 2 1 liters we were to receive for 3 days), personally carried my breakfast to our room (I was using a cane);
breakfast is adequate with excellent coffee (I'm a coffee maven). Located near lots of good restaurants in the Marina District on Chestnut and Steiner streets.

Everything about this motel was perfect for our stay! My boyfriend and I stayed at the Geary Parkway Motel in San Francisco for 5 days at the end of April 2013. FRom check-in to departure my stay was trouble free. OK the breakfast is a muffin and make your own coffee but there are also places nearby for a full breakfast if you wanted. For me
my stay was as perfect as any expectations. The no 38 bus that stops at the door gets you downtown in about 130mins depending on traffic. But the friendly people on buses made it a pleasant journey.

The Regency was easy walking distance to everything I needed in SF: Union Square for my conference, the BART line to and from the airport for a reasonable price, and tourist attractions like the F line to Fisherman's Warf. The staff at the Regency was very helpful and friendly.

The staff was amazing! I had a unique situation, with moving halfway
across the country with my new job, allergies, & a car. They worked
with me and accommodated all of my wishes. The eggs (whites), fruit, and
waffles for breakfast were big plusses. Also, the Wi-Fi was secure and I
needed that for work. I will probably stay there again during my
transition. The neighborhood is great too!

Good budget-friendly hotel. We stayed for 2 days & walked or bussed
the whole time. Very central location to everything. We walked from the
hotel to Pier 39/Fisherman's Warf, Chinatown, North Beach, Union
Square, then would take the bus back. We did this with a 5 year old
& a 2 year old. The rooms were clean & tidy with plenty of
space. I would definitely stay here again.

As a mom traveling with 2 teenagers, I thought this was a great place. It's an older hotel that could use updating, but it's clean, staff is friendly and it has free parking. It's perfect if you do not plan on spending a lot of time in your room. We left every morning by 9am and came back around 7pm, so it was perfect for the amount of time we spent there.
