  As expected with Marriott hotels, it was clean, the staff very helpful and mattress was very comfortable! The valet parking was very expensive but worth it to just get out of your car and hand over the keys. Unfortunately, I lost my car claim ticket. Also, went to the Academy of Science and the Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park. Always great places to vis - We stayed with 7 mo old in Double room, and it was quiet tiny. There is no much space to place crib - maybe King room is more comfortable in that case. But armchair was great for nursing. Beside that we liked everything in that hotel, especially location. Location could not be better.

  Hotel was like an Oasis off the busy Lombard St. Get a courtyard facing room and its very quiet. We initially had a street facing room which was loud but not unbearable, especially later on in the evening. Staff at the hotel did offer us earplugs if we needed them. Chestnut St is immediately north of Lombard St with plenty of bars and nice restaurants. Safe place to be and the number 30 bu - The entire property is lovely and maintained well. The room was pristine and charming. I wish we had been off the street in the courtyard, but that is something we will do next time we come into town. The parking was a huge bonus and the proximity to the bus line made it possible to just leave the car parked the entire time we were in the city! What a jewel!
