I liked the price, the location worked well and was safe, albeit 'downhill' from Nob hill. My initial anxiety about the location disappeared quickly. My room was cozy, in the basement, and turned out to be very quiet. Bed comfortable, room clean. I had fresh air from a window on an inner courtyard, and even with the window open could hardly hear traffic. Hotel was fairly quiet, overall.

First time in a 'Boutique Hotel' setting, was amazing, very charming, friendly, convenient to everything, trolley directly outside hotel....restaurants, cafes, shopping, all within walking distance, or hop on trolley. Was very quiet, slept wonderfully. Decor quaint & beautiful. Bed comfy, water pressure great. Bkft included was good & filling. Cannot say enough great things about this adorable hotel. We will definately be back!

Beautiful hotel in the best location. The rooms are very clean and the staff is amazing. The hotel is located by really nice cafes and great restaurants, although I would stay away from the Italian restaurant right next door. Bad service and not very good. On the other hand, the cafe/bakery on the other side of the entrance is really good. -

As a mom traveling with 2 teenagers, I thought this was a great place. It's an older hotel that could use updating, but it's clean, staff is friendly and it has free parking. It's perfect if you do not plan on spending a lot of time in your room. We left every morning by 9am and came back around 7pm, so it was perfect for the amount of time we spent there. It was a 10-15 minute walk to Fisherman's Wharf and 4 blocks to the top of Lombard where it becomes the crookedest street. Easy walk to catc
