Printed info stated "private parking on site" NOT true, staff drives your car to JW Marriotts parking gargage several blocks away. Printed info stated $48 for parking, we were charged $50. $119 room with parking and 7 different taxes totaled to $216.

Location right off Union Square. Nice cafe in hotel. Comfortable beds and linens. Huge walk-in closet. Reasonable rate.

Powell Street noise. Staff do not hail cabs. Tiny ancient elevators.

While the location of VF is great, the room itself reflects the concern of your hotel; clean room, spacious enough so that we didn't feel confined to a terribly small room.

Not necessarily in this order, but: The remote control didn't respond quickly; hot water wasn't really not but quite warm; I could have used an extra blanket stored in the closet; a few stationery item to scribble notes to myself; and although the shelf space is minimal in the bathroom, at least there's the window sill on which to place my toiletries.

The room was spacious, the staff accommodating, although not as well informed about the room as I would expect. Suggest their computer list specific room amenities for staff information. Great restaurant downstairs. Happy to have complementary internet. Good towel supply and pillows. This is a small hotel and although free newspaper is available in the lobby, suggest door delivery of newspaper in the morning. Should not be too difficult.

We asked for a walk in shower, The staff assured us the room was equipped as requested. It was not. They offered to change it but we didn't want to opack up everything again so we stayed. There was a lack of consistency in the hot water from the sink. First very hot, almost scalding, and then cold. Interesting, though, the shower was fine. Feel that $50.00/night to valet park a car is a little steep, even for San Francisco.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was very comfortable. The view was to a light shaft - not great, but we didn't really need a view. Breakfast at the hotel was pricey, but we went next door to at great little Italian cafe for a great and inexpensive breakfast. Location was perfect for our needs - easy to get cabs and to walk to Market Street and Emcarcadero Center. I would stay here again.

There were some slightly negative reviews despite the higher satisfaction rating and I found the entire experience to be amazing. The people, product, and location were amazing! I will totally stay here again :-)))

Price was too high. Breakfast was offered part of the deal but was very shoddily offered. I was asked to choose either one muffin or crissant for breakfat. Cold frozen croissant plus coffee. I was told that i have to pick up the coffee myself as this is a Breakfast voucher. Disappointing after paying average $600 per day for the services

The location is just great. The Hotel is clean and pretends to be an upperclass Hotel. But it isn't :)

The don't charge the price you get confirmed by letsbookhotel.com This is a little fraud, because the are charging a 20$ 'Service fee' on top of the confirmed letsbookhotel.com charge. You better don't have a car, because you will be charged 50$! for one night. Ridiculous

The location was great. The room was spacious, pleasantly decorated and the bed/pillows very comfortable. It was quiet and facilities in the room were good (eg coffee machine, mini bar, free wifi). I would stay here again.

I didn't like the extra taxes that were charged on top on the letsbookhotel.com rates (over $200 extra for two nights that was not declared up front). The letsbookhotel.com rate said taxes were included so I was unimpressed by the 'extras' tacked on at time of check out. This needs to be addressed by letsbookhotel.com so that these surprises are avoided. Still reasonable value for money given the location though.

There was not enough light in our room..couldn't read or see to find our things easily. The noise in the exercise room was annoying but not enough to move after we got settled.

Very small rooms. Would be fine for a couple but as 2 friends with 2 double beds it was a bit of a squeeze. We kept bumping into each other trying to get ready to go out. The bathroom was very tiny.

It was centrally located and easy to get to. It was ideally situated for shopping, leisure, cultural activities as well as business. The staff were excellent as were the facilities. I could not fault my stay.

The size of the hotel and great, friendly support of all staff. Rooms were small, but very comfortable and quiet (facing the courtyard). Good location, just off Union Square. Computers and printer available off the elevators. Free wi-fi in rooms. Good bar & restaurant.

Breakfast the day after our arrival...not served together, slow in coming and cold food,toast barely toasted. It. Was not busy . The chef apologized and compted it. We did,however,gave them another chance at dinner. We had the Duck breast and it was excellent. You win some - you lose some.

601 has closet with no hooks or rod for hanging clothes. Lighting for bathroom awkward. Switch on table lamp between beds causes you to get out of bed to reach the switch. Would be nice to have a mini-fridge.

Villa Florence was great, location is amazing! Couldn't get better. Great coffee provided in the room. The staff made it special for me. We only stayed apr 5 nights in total and Chrissy at reception after day one was greeting me by name. Raphael at reception was an absolute gentleman and Jason who looked after our bags was a darling. These are the hidden gems that made Villa Florence our only hotel to return to when back in SF.

All Accommodation in SF is on the small side. Our first two nights we had the King room, then we moved to twin doubles which was perfect. We also had a few nights in Francis Drake, but by far enjoyed the ambience of Villa Florence.

Then hotel was city trip frindly with enough business frinedly features such as Internet access/computer access for ailrine bookings and odd references to e-mails etc to be adequate for us. Staff friendly and very helpful. En-suite was roomy and functional. Feather bedding was changed as pre-requested well done.

Unfortunately due to location it was quite noisy with bars and revlellers outside but that is to be expected. Our room (704) was a little dated and not quite as large as we'd have liked but very traditionally italian. Adequate though and bed was comfortable.

Easy to find and excellent location! Beautiful lobby, bar, and restaurant. Great good. Staff very kind and attentive. Rooms are very simple and small. But that's typical of big city old building with character. It was clean and affordable on letsbookhotel.com for same day reservations.

Bed could've been a little softer. That's a personal preference though.
