Parking was free (not so common in San Francisco).Excellent location, just minutes away from cable car and buses. Excellent and friendly staff!. Friendly and helpful staff. Close to all amenities or less then 10 dollar taxi ride which is good, plus on local bus route to town. Location, quietness, free parking, familiar atmosphere. Very helpful staff; quiet and safe location, close to great restaurant area in Polk Street, close to transport in Van Ness Street for buses and only a couple of blocks from Cable Car routes. Motel staff recommended three day transport pass which was good value and very handy even for a two day stay in San Francisco. free public parking plus location (10 min walking distance from fisherman's wharf). the location. The website says they won't charge your card until you check in however, they do charge your card the day you are suppose to check in. Also, we reserved a jr. suite for 5 people and when we checked in they had rented the suite to someone else. So 5 single people ended up in a double room for 1 night and then they moved us. . You have to pick up your breakfast. But this is no problem to us! We really liked that about this hotel.basic breakfast to be consumed in one's room. I felt that the room was just adequate. and did not reflect the price that I paid. The towels were old and tired-looking. There wasn't the most basic facility i.e. internet for guests.Very old room with dirty carpet and seats. The shower didn't work properly .The room needs a complete remodelation,especially the bathroom and the air conditioning. No cofee maker facilities.
