Farmer Brown restaurant is located on-site and offers southern cuisine, commonly known as “soul food”, made with fresh, organic ingredients.

Dinner is available Sunday through Thursday 17:00 until 23:00
Friday and Saturday 17:00 until 00:00

Sunday brunch is served 10:00 until 14:30.

Please note that dogs are allowed with a non-refundable cleaning deposit of USD 75. 40 lbs. and under only.

Located north of Market Street and steps away from the Powell Street Cable Car line, the Metropolis is ideally located close to all of the action. The hotel is minutes away from luxury shopping at Union Square, gourmet dining on Geary, Sutter and Post Streets as well as the Moscone Convention Center and the Yerba Buena Gardens.

All of the guestrooms are designed with inspiration from one of the four elements; earth, wind, water and fire, which is incorporated by vivid colors and artwork. Offering a completely non-smoking facility, rooms are furnished with custom-made furniture and decorations.

From the South/San Francisco International Airport:
Take highway #101 north…follow signs to 9th street/civic center exit... stay on 9th street. when you cross market street, veer right onto 1arkin street... follow larkin street (approx. 6 blocks) to o'farrell street...turn right onto o'farrell street. stay on o'farrell until you get to mason street (approx. 5 blocks)... turn right onto mason street, go approx. 2 ½ blocks... the hotel metropolis is located at 25 mason street, on the right side, right before market, turk and mason streets meet. the parking lot entrance is located right before the hotel.

From the North/Highway 101:
Follow highway #101 across the golden gate bridge into san francisco... stay on hwy #101 through san francisco (hwy #101 through san francisco is lombard street and van ness avenue) taking lombard street to van ness avenue... make a right onto van ness avenue. follow van ness to o'farrell street (approx. 18 blocks)... follow o'farrell to mason street (approx. 7 blocks), make a right onto mason... the hotel metropolis is located at 25 mason street, on the right side, just before market, turk and mason streets meet. the parking entrance is located right before the hotel.

From the East/Interstate 80/Bay Bridge:
Follow interstate 80... crossing the bay bridge... to the 5th street exit (on the left side)... exit 5th street, continue on harrison street (1 block), and make a right onto 6th street... once you cross market street...6th street becomes taylor street. follow taylor street (approx. 4 blocks) to o'farrell street... turn right onto o'farrell street...(go one block)..make first right onto mason street... the hotel metropolis is located at 25 mason street, on the right side, just before market, turk and mason streets meet. the parking lot entrance is located right before the hotel.
