  Excellent stay from checking in to being dropped off at the airport. Everyone we were encountered wanted to be helpful and it showed by going over and above.   The room we were given was 301 which is on the corner of the building so we got two windows to see the beach! We had booked an ocean view room and the view from our balcony was of Scripps park, a cave, the beach and all the silly sea lions and pelicans. The rooms are a little out of date in style but they are comfortable and the breakfast is borin... what people say » g but is served on the roof!!! The staff here is amazing...we were driving around San Diego and not familiar with the area and they were always happy - The location couldn't have been better; I liked that they had a ready supply of fresh coffee in the lobby and that they had bathrooms on a couple of floors so we didn't have to go all the way back to the room if we were already out; the balcony and view were all they promised and the beds were comfortable and clean. They held our bags for us before and after check out and that is big plus for us. We had a wonderful time and will definitely stay there again soon and probably for years to come.

The property was well maintained, the room was extremely clean and comfortable. Our room was facing highway but we didn't have any difficulty in sleeping. It is not noisy at all. It's well located in the Gaslight Quarter, close to the Convention Center and with easy access to all the things that make San Diego fun. The rooms are very nice with a fireplace and lots of faux-antiques that made the rooms look more "Victorian" and lots of fun. It had all the modern comforts while giving the impression that we were staying in Wyatt Earp's old San Diego. I'd definitely stay there again.
