  Very impressed that the room was ready for us even though we booked the night before. We were travelling from la and even though we got there late, and the office was closed, there were very clear instructions waiting for me on their door, along with a set of keys in a lock box.   The hotel, while an older building, had been recently renovated and what a pleasant surprise with all the character & artistic flair in the room (and even the hallway!) The "wow" factor was definitely there when we opened the door to the King suite. The room was a lovely size, the bathroom huge, with great tilework and an awesome shower. The sofa bed actually had 2 separate beds, so we could have had m - I stayed here very recently for six nights while attending a conference downtown. Let me say it was totally worth the extra effort and cost in cabs to get downtown ( half hour by bus, 15 minutes 13 bucks by cab). The staff is friendly, courteous, and professional, from the cleaning staff, valet parking attendants, front desk folks and management. I get the feeling people love their jobs and want to deliver good service to the guests. The bar downstairs is awesome and deserves its own review. On

  Suite is really comfortable especially for longer stays like 7 nights.The free parking were good. The complimentary coffee/tea in the foyer/reception were really a big benefit. Breakfast is very good.Free WiFi the best! - Love it! I would come back again, just wish I had more time to really enjoy!

  The location is perfect! San Diego in itself is great but the Inn being on Shutter Island compared to downtown sd was better than expected. From now on, I'd rather visit humphrey's again and skip the major hotels in the city. The location also makes it perfect for activities. However I have to say that the manageress stepped in and resolved the matter with a real customer focus in trying to ensure we had a good stay. For me this is when a hotels reputation stands or falls in how they go about resolving problems. Staff were a credit to the company and I would def recommend to others Thank you

  This was a great little hotel in Coronado. It's directly across the street from the Del Coronado. Having stayed at the Del, I can say this was a far better value. We loved the pool and the beach is just a short walk. The staff was super friendly and generously gave us coupons for free appetizers at the restaurant next door.
