  This was by far the best hotel we have found in San Diego. Luxury for a very reasonable price! Impressive from the moment you see it from a distance, impressive parking, impressive, AMAZING lobby, amazing guest service, amazing everything. The room we chose was a corner King suite... Everything was perfectly clean and fresh in the bathroom. Downstairs, we chose to eat at t - Everything! I was blown away with the beauty of the lobby! The staff was wonderful, our room was fantastic, (corner king), the food was good (pulled pork was best I've had in ages!), and the views were gorgeous. I loved how close it was to so many areas of SD. The pool area (with the firepits at night!) looked wonderful, but it was so windy so we didn't stay. I also loved the old pictures throughout the hotel. If you are from SD it was particularly super to see them.

  Excellent stay from checking in to being dropped off at the airport. Everyone we were encountered wanted to be helpful and it showed by going over and above.   The front desk help was excellent. I also loved the cleanliness of the room and the view was simply gorgeous. When I told the front desk that my wife was having surgery the next day at Scrips Hospital she changed our third floor room to ground floor very near the entrance, very nice.   When we was in the process of booking our travel plans I founded it pretty hard to make a decision based on all the different reviews,ok so I vowed to give my honest experience to help other ppl,thats traveling on a budget and looking for the best deal.....and this was by best,the best decision we made...before I give my experience, my total price... what people say » we paid for 2 airfare(spirit) and 3 nite hotel stay came to $615 which left alot of shopping and food money(lunch,dinner),limo from/to our home,....o - This is one of the best place's I have ever stayed at. The people were very friendly and nice, the breakfast was outstanding. The rooms were clean, with microwave, refrig, and coffee pot in every room. This will be the place I will be staying from now on, as I have to come to San Diego, at least every 5 weeks.

  It's a beautifully restored old building. They did a good job of updating it but keeping the historical touches. Great location--within walking distance of many restaurants and shops in downtown San Diego. We appreciated nice little creature comforts such as the large ceiling fan over the bed and small wall cabinet next to the pedestal sink. That was lots of fun and we brought our - Charming boutique hotel with lots of charm in a historic building. It's well located in the Gaslight Quarter, close to the Convention Center and with easy access to all the things that make San Diego fun. The rooms are very nice with a fireplace and lots of faux-antiques that made the rooms look more "Victorian" and lots of fun. It had all the modern comforts while giving the impression that we were staying in Wyatt Earp's old San Diego. I'd definitely stay there again.

  My husband and I were celebrating our silver wedding and booked 3 nights at the hotel,we loved every minute of our stay. The hotel was amazing,the location was fabulous and we just loved to watch the sunset on the beach. Loved the location of the hotel, and the overall comf - Great location for sea world visit. There was a problem at our initial check in which wasn't good. However I have to say that the manageress stepped in and resolved the matter with a real customer focus in trying to ensure we had a good stay. For me this is when a hotels reputation stands or falls in how they go about resolving problems. Staff were a credit to the company and I would def recommend to others Thank you
