Ease of getting on and off freeway. Younger staff was very friendly and helpful. Older staff member was a bit short on his response. Okay distance to downtown, market square, riverwalk, etc., but we didn't mind the extra bit of walking. the service is very good. Everyone trated us very well. They did a great job. The room is very confortable and makes me feel at home. I recommend this hotel to anyone that have planning to go to SanAntonio.
all reviews » I wish we got to stay longer. The beds were very comfortable. Love the suite with the door between rooms. Loved everything about this hotel. And the breakfast was a nice hot breakfast too. Everything was great. Staff was very friendly, breakfast was very well served, the room was spacious and very nice. It was a walking distance to the river walk and The Alamo. The staff was extremely friendly & catering. The complex was immaculate and the complimentary breakfast had a wide variety. Free wi-fi is always a bonus!. I have stayed there several times and have not been disappointed. I will stay there again. Hopefully in December for the weekend of the Mariachi Extavaganza. Good location and price. It was unfortunate the hotel had a water leaking incident the time I checked in, but the staff did their best to resolve the issue. It was quiet, relaxing, very clean, lots of room. Very close to the downtown area. A nice hot breakfast in the morning. We will stay there again. The location is very handy to all the action in city. A bit noisy because of proximity to freeway. But not terrible. Wish it has a shuttle to events. But can't think of anything else. Nothing. I wish the exercise room had some weights, it was all cardio equipment. Just the water issue at check in. No restaurant near by so we ordered out instead of going back into city. Dining area was very small. renovation being done to the front entrance of hotel. No hot water for 1 day. Way too small room for breakfast! Every morning no tables available and have to take breakfast to the room. Bit outdated rooms, very dark. Room was not clean: found dirt socks in corner of room (not ours!). The location is OK but the area is a little insecure at night. Nothing was wrong. After requesting a three bedroom one king and two queens. They booked us for the two king bedroom. The lady fixed the problem but I had to get online and show her where they messed up before she would change the rooms. Wi-fi very difficult to get connectionand would not keep connection. Made it difficult to conduct business work while there. Lavatory in middle of the room,urban location....difficult to find without gps. My mistake was booking via letsbookhotel.com rather than hiexpress.com. The parking... Not enough. N/a. parking, there were not enough spots on the weekend night and front parking spots are narrow and difficult to park in when other cars are next to them. Wifi signal was too weak to be usable. Had to literally stand by the door and I still kept getting dropped. We did not like the location, it states a 15 minute walk to the riverwalk...boy is that a lie...the riverwalk is more than a mile away, and the fact that the staff allowed non guests to use the pool. There were so many "extra" people that we as paying guest did not get to enjoy the pool. The shower was terrible and location not that great. Didn't like the inconvenience at check in. No rooms avail til 3 pm. Really? It was only 15 til 3. They didn't except cash! Elevator was slow. noise factor and room was overlooked on cleaning. not enough towels for a family room. Curtains did not extend all the way. they were just for show. Light shining into room. That I didn't get what expected. The floor was dirty the spas water was dirty.the phone didn't work in the room. The sofa bed was all hard to sleep on. So disappointed at some other stuff. Lazy staff and cleaning crew left there cleaning cart everything where half ass clean the room cant understand where the M&M plain candy came from the walls had kethup on them. Cleaning service was terrible. We had to ask for towels, toilet paper, paper towels etc as the did not replenish. Beds were poorly made. When enter the room found a spot on the floor it look like dry vamet stain I called service desk. I checked in on Thursday room did not get clean for two days my wife had to go the front desk to get clean towels. We notice at 6:30 am Sat morning cereal spill on the elevator floor, we got back @ 4:30 pm was never cleaned up. Extremely poor management. there was nothing o like about the hotel.
