The river walk, old buildings the tower of America was beautiful in the evening to look at the city the food wasn't all that great but they had a great staff and great wine list. The Staff was awesome and the breakfast was great.All the staff was friendly,outgoing and very knowledgeable.they really went out of their way to answer any questions we had. The staff was very nice. We loved the breakfast each am. Was there 3 am's. Did not need maid service's, just ask for clean towels and was given them.
all reviews » I thought the rooms were great, the breakfast in the morning was spectacular and it was completely affordable and perfectly located. Ease of check-in, secure parking, location/proximity to landmarks/city activities, comfortable beds. Our room was clean and quiet. The bathroom was larger than most bathrooms in a standard hotel room. I love Hampton Inn's, they are clean, quiet, and usually the staff are above and beyond nice. The room was functional, basic, no unnecessary extras. The bed was very comfortable. The location was great for someone touring downtown without access to a car. Excellent rooms and close to Riverwalk. Excellent morning breakfast. breakfast was great clean rooms gated parking good location. OK location near convention center, Alamo. Nothing. location. The beggars on the street they can be quite rude and obnoxious if you tell them no !. I would of liked to of know what eating places were around the area so we could of known what our options were for going out to eat. Just a little to pricey. Inadequate sound-proofing between rooms (very noisy occupants in next room coming and going at all hours), inadequate sound-proofing in exterior walls (road/traffic noises somewhat annoying), and lack of room service for food. None. It was not the hotel itself it was the policy of not being able to cancel. And the 15 dollar parking fee. We are already paying for the room and the outrageous taxes then to tack on another 15 dollars to park on your property seriously. I did not like having to pay for parking on the hotel property while I was a guest there. Ridiculous! Elevators were slow and jerked a lot, made people nervous. Paying for parking did not please me. I am a HHilton Honors Gold member. 4th floor room stank badly like old gym sneakers. Complained next morning, maintenance deodorized. Stench returned third night. Crumbs through hallways. Ventilation awful throughout building. I will never stay there again. During my stay 5 busloads of high school teens around 14 yrs registered at the hotel, shouting, screaming, yelling, running the hallways up and down, banging doors summarily extremely noisy until 11.00 pm ( 23 .00 hours). My appeal to the hotel staff to intervene were repeatedly ignored. I had to find a teacher myself who ventually managed to subdue the unruly crowds. The hotel was a pure madhouse. This hotel is not suited for a civilized stay. cost for parking at the motel the room had a bad smell house keeping suck. This Hampton Inn was the worst one I have ever stayed at. I was extremely disappointed and feel like the amount of money I paid was a rip off.
