The staff was very friendly and helpful. They helped us choose a restuarant for dinner in the area since we weren't from PA and were very sweet during breakfast leaving us full and with a smile as we started a day of sightseeing. They even found my sons baseball cap and put is aside for us at the front desk. -

The atmosphere of the historic value they placed on the contents, furniture, the appearance of the outside, very old time of our history, yet comfortable and inviting, especially the porch over looking the historic town, just charming and old world which is what we were looking for. -

We were looking for a quiet getaway for the long July 4 weekend, and that's exactly what we got. We stayed in the lodge itself (there are also cottages with more amenities, which cost more), and had a clean, comfortable room. There was a hiking trail onsite that we enjoyed, and big pool that seemed empty most of the time. The lodge has obviousl... what people say » y been around since at least the 1950s, and has retained that mid-20th century charm, including an owner who walks around during the (free) breakfast -
The owner and the staff were extremely nice and friendly. When the owner found out that I have cancer and my husband has a back injury, he offered to upgrade us to a cottage so that we wouldn't have to climb the stairs. He also had a breakfast tray brought up to my husband. The room was very comfortable, and the lodge and its grounds are beautiful. We hope to go back during the summer so we can use the pool.

We loved the comfort of the king size bed. Having a kitchen gave us the opportunity to cook in or bring back leftovers to reheat in the oven or microwave. My husband could watch TV in the livingroom while I had the TV in the bedroom. - Everyone was wonderful at the AKA. The location was Fantastic!

I participated in a conference at Penn State University.I was out the door ar 8am and coming back after 9 pm. I didn't have much time to take advantages of facilities. I liked the location, it was walking distance from Alumni building.I liked the fact that I could open the window to get fresh air and hearthe birds in the morning.
