  Meeting with people from all over the globe. 99% friendly, cant get lonely here when traveling alone. Everyone is included. Superb location in Waikiki. literally a 2 minute walk to the beach. Paid parking nearby if needed and free parking if you can find it within a few blocks. Easy access to public transportation to get out of the city. But then, hostels and the global traveli - I stayed 5 nights at the hostel and it was great! Roommates are from different places of the world and most of them are very friendly and I made a lot of friends there. It was October and not so noisy as I expected in the night, which was good, and it was fairly convenient and economic for a backpacker to stay. Mostly importantly, the location was extremely good and it was just a couple of minutes to the beach.

  We liked the price and that the rooms were spacious. We loved having two balconies and that the room had dishes and a kitchen if we wanted to cook. The location was close to the strip and trolley stop right in front of the door. There was also a convenient ABC in the lobby. Not a given anymore. The staff was very helpful and competent. No complaints about anything.

  Handy location for shopping and being near a larger supermarket, with the kitchnette, we could prepare meals in the room rather than eat out each night. Rooms were reasonable - nothing flash but definitely value for money. Free internet was awesome and not included in many other places we checked out. Close to decent restaurants which were less touristy because the hotel is away from the main areas. - Room was clean and had partial view out to the water. Price was reasonable. Location was within easy walk to Ala Moana shopping centre. Kitchenette was also very handy allowing a night at home cooking.

  The staff were friendly and helpful. I had a problem with the air conditioner in my room making clunking sounds when turned off and I was all prepared to demand a new room, however, after reporting it to the front desk it was fixed by maintenance by the time I returned in the afternoon. Considering the price of other hotels in the area it was good... what people say » value. It contained the necessities. - Staff were really friendly and got an upgrade on our room which was nice. Room was massive and had a bit to sit outside although it was just overlooking the street outside. Good watermelon water at reception on a hot day! Close enough to the beach without paying beachfront prices.

  Location great, and the restaurants and shops on the ground floor were a plus - the Creme Pot is charming and convenient for breakfast. Staff was very helpful and friendly, went out of their way to be accommodating. Great view of the city from upper floors. - The staff is Excellent! : ) I keep coming. : )

  Stayed here for 1 night just to sleep after a late night flight in before moving onto the beach front. Staff were friendly and offered us a free upgrade. Room was very clean though dated. Although away from the beach it is really only a few minutes away and you can still see the ocean. I was told that I was upgraded (not sure if that was really the case). The room was of good size and the view was nice. There is LAN internet in the room with high speed. Also there is a cafe and a shop right in the building, which is very handy.

  I was very pleased with this motel. The rooms were clean [very important], we had a corner room that had 2 ac units, and the there were multiple electrical outlets for charging our various electronic devices. Nice view of the Hawaiian mountains. The wifi was also very acceptable. We walked to the hotel from the airport [only about a 25 minute walk... what people say » ]. I loved the three-way mirror in the bathroom - helps when drying hair.   The Seaside Hotel was perfect for my stay in Waikiki. The room may be small for some, but the size was fine for me. The pictures are true to what you get. There are not a whole lot of extra amenities but I was only there to shower and sleep. The bed was comfortable and thank goodness for the a/c during the humid week I was there. Yes, there's not a whole lot but I was out all day - I am so glad I booked this hotel. After reading up on reviews for other hotels for hours I decided to book with Shoreline. The hotel was in a great central location, so close to the beach and shops, hotel staff were so friendly and pointed us in the right direction for activities / tour outlets that were much cheaper than others. Rooms were big enough for what we paid for and very very clean! I would definitely stay here again if I travel back to Hawaii and recommend it to anyone staying in Hon
