From the moment we entered the kimberly hotel in new york we were greeted with smiles from the receptionist. Our plane arrived in early so we knew check in was at around 3 o clock. So we were prepared to drop our bags and head off to check out the sights but to our surprise the room was ready for us when we got there which was fantastic. Really from there on the staff were great they even sent me up a birthday cake for my birthday:-)

Having previously paid a small fortune to stay in cramped dingy hotels

We loved the spacious room, the decoration of the room, the hotel, the
general design and clever use which was made of he space. Our room was
terrific and are grateful for the upgrade. We saw the Chrysler Building

proximity to the subway (one stop only from Grand Central !) and from

nyc to see a concert. I was amazed that the concierge desk is open and
available 24-7 - we ended up checking into our room at around 10:45 pm
and the staff was still very happy to greet us. Each staff member
expressed their wonderful personality and kindness in every interaction,

What didn't I like?? It was at a great location 5-10 mins walk to Empire State and Times Square. Subway is only a block away. You have a 24 hour organic deli across the road Bread and Butter. Korean food and restaurants open till late. 15-20min walk to Chelsea and soho. Les Halle's french restaurant is just across the road!

Excellent flat, with the most stunning view of New York/Manhattan. A train (Path train) journey to Manhattan (10 min) but it was a calm place to come back to, with a good supermarket close by for food. The flat was very well equipped with every thing you could need and lots of space for 4 people. A laundry room was opposite our flat door and used a token, bought in the lobby.
Highly recommended, especially if travelling with children or teenagers.
