  Hotel 140 was a great place to stay for me. I was traveling alone and it was located just a block from the train station. The front desk was great to help me in directions of the city. Very friendly staff. Also after I left and was at the train station having a hard time figuring out which way to go, a young man asked if he could help. Upon arrival I had taken the train from Springfield, MA. I followed the drive where the local buses pull into Back Bay Station right out to Clarendon Street and bore left. I had just a half-block walk from that point to the front entrance of the hotel.   It was my daughters first time to stay at a hotel and it was the first time that I stayed alone with one of my children so it was an experience for both of us. She had a great time at the hotel, loved the pool and the room!   The rooms were beautiful and very spacious. The staff was incredibly friendly/professional. They made me feel welcomed the minute I stepped my foot in the hotel. We were there to visit Salem and it was a very short drive to Salem. The free breakfast was actually very nicely done. Every staff person was amazing and had a smile on their face, the food and service was top notch. We even met the gm Matthew Moore who took the time out of is busy day to congratulate us on our wedding the day before. We will go back every year to celebrate our anniversary. We had an amazing time!

The pool area is very nice and although we didn't order lunch, you can order lunch at the pool. The room was spacious for a family of four. It was nice to have breakfast available on site.
