  the staff were very friendly and ALWAYS said aloha every time they passed. The pool and gym were wonderful and we used them every day. I liked having the Kings and Queens market close by as we had a choice of eating establishments. the beach was protected and great for water sports. Down the beach was the Lava Lava Bar - we ate their quite a few... what people say » times and had drinks at sunset. Thanks to John and NIck there for a wonderful part of our stay. - The beach was very nice. Our room would have been perfect if we'd had a full ocean view instead of a partial because of a tree. The gym is nice and clean. The concierge was helpful but be warned, it is run by Expedia so no Kama'aina rates. The nearby markets were convenient and a good option if you don't want to eat at the hotel. Several good restaurants as well as a food court are available.

  We were celebrating my father's 70 birthday and the whole family was at the Marriott (10 of us). We had 4 rooms between us at the Marriott. The rooms were so big spacious and partial ocean view was amazing. We had missed our flight leaving Hawaii and needed to check back in (we needed 4 rooms) and the staff (Tania) was amazing extremely helpful ... what people say » and understanding. She assisted us and managed to give us an upgrade at the rate that we had initially paid for. We were so appreciative for that. T - We only had one problem-we did ask them to havea a look at our fridge as it froze all our contents and it took them a week and a half of our stay to do anything about it. maybe they didn't understand us ,we had to tell them like 4 times until they replaced it. Everything in fridge had to be thrown out.

  Loved the adult infinity pool and that our room was a few feet away. We had an awesome oceanfront room that was very close to the pool. The pool side staff was very friendly and service was excellent. Front desk was freindly and helpful. Maid service was good too. - Good resort to enjoy Maui more. Location is ok. The view is good.   We had a 2nd floor apartment on a 2 storey block - try to ask for the 2 storey buildings when you book. It was fantastic. The location is great, just in front of the beach.We sat on our balcony every night and watched the sun go into the sea and then the sky turn beautiful colours. It was good to be opposite the shops. We liked the pineapple in the fridge when we got the - The view of Molokini Crater, Kahoolawe, and Kameole Two was unparalleled. The morning snorkling off the rocks in front of Hale Pau Hana afforded a great variety of fishes and many green sea turtles. Our unit was superb and the other guests and staff were friendly.

Children of all ages were well catered for and hence adults were able to enjoy the location and amenities and relax, I especially loved my visits to the adults only pool. It really is quite impressive. Lots of things to do. You really don't ever even have to leave the resort. But if you want to one of my favorite beaches Hapuna is right up the road. I also really liked the products they had in their bathroom so much so I bought some to take home with me.

  The pool and location were amazing. We lounged around the pool almost every day and enjoyed the friendly service of the waitress that passed by. The hotel is right on the beach and a very short walk to Whaler's Village (a shopping mall).   It's an older resort but that is not a problem at all. Fabulous resort facilities, very clean and comfortable room (partial ocean view) with great service. You can't swim in the ocean directly from the hotel but it is such a dramatic location as the resort is positioned directly on lava rock. Views of the ocean are stunning. A hire car is a good idea. - Beautiful location, spent the most of my time at the resort because it was so beautiful and relaxing. Amazing pool to sit back with a Mai Tai and watch the sunset. Watched the manta rays feeding and ate delicious 'spider shrimp' at Rays on the Bay. Would definitely recommend to others and would stay there again myself

  We only stayed one night but what a night it was, a memory to last a lifetime . Halekulani was indeed a tranquil oasis in the midst of the Waikiki bustle. True to its name of "our house befitting heaven" - The staff was superb. The food was excellent and the setting tranquil, yet right off the main Waikiki drag.
