  We absolutely loved our stay at Polynesian Plaza! Rooms are nice& definately adequate despite negative reviews! Excellent value for money and in the perfect location for shopping in town. The room we had included a mini kitchenette (2 stove tops, microwave, toaster, fridge etc) and also has a lovely pool which we spent a lot of time at and th... what people say » e beach is just a 5min walk away. The room also has air conditioning to cool the room which was great, without this, we wouldn't have been able to st - My stay at the Polynesian Plaza was wonderful. I wasn't expecting a lot as I was looking for accommodation at a reasonable price. The location was perfect, the staff was excellent and the room was fine. Especially the rooms facing Kalakaua Ave with the balcony as we got a brilliant view of the Halloween festivities on our last night their. I certainly recommend the Polynesian Plaza to anyone seeking something along the lines of what I have highlighted in this review.

  I always stay at the Pagoda. It has been my favorite place to stay in Honolulu for over 20 years. - attitude of staff at reception , very inviting

  Maui is a beautiful small island and Kahului is conveniently located to explore the many sites it has to offer or get on exiting tours. The hotel has an excellent activity desk that helps book tours/shuttles and advises which sites to visit. The bus service from Kahului is good and cheap to visit the south side of the island for swimming or snor... what people say » keling. The hotel room appeared to have been refurbished fairly recently. - Staff was very polite. Rooms were clean beds made bathrooms clean. Saturday night prime rib and crab buffet was excellent. Very affordable and the setting was very nice. Should I ever visit Maui again I will be sure to stay at Maui beach hotel.

  This place has a some kind of a charm that might not be obvious at first glance. It felt like living in a real Hilo, not just a random hotel that could be the same anywhere in the world. It`s not shiny and new but clean, comfortable, peaceful and taken care of. Open lobby was great with nice view to the garden and the sea. Breakfast was relaxing a... what people say » nd every morning, we enjoyed watching geckos on the walls. Wi-fi in the lobby works perfectly and laundry comes very handy. Everyone was very friendly - Loved this place, Highly recommend staying here, very relaxed cool place to stay. Awesome friendly staff, especially Dave!!! Thanks heaps for showing us all the cool sites to see like the waterfalls, black and green sand beaches, with the turtles, 4x4 track near the cliff and blow hole jump, wow too many to mention, just ask them when you get there. Perfect for exploring Hawaii Volcano National Park and we also found it to be a nice halfway point to return to from trips up to Kona in the west and Mau... what people say » na Kea via Hilo in the east.   We stayed for 3 nights in February and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Terrie (the owner) is very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable of the local area she provided us with lots of information about what to see and do - and there is quite a lot, stuff you don't read about in the regular travel books. We stayed in the Ohana suite which had a very c... what people say » omfortable bed, kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and portable stove top. Everywhere was very clean and the accommodation is in a very peaceful lo - It´s perfect! Our suite was comfortable, clean and cozy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great! (Fresh papaya with other fruits and yoghurt, and freshly baked bread or muffins). Location is absolutely wonderful, very tropical. Wifi worked great. Pahoa is a good base to start many excursions, even though it´s on the rainy side of the island.
