The staff was flexible with our booking and allowed us to add a couple nights with no problem. Even checked in late without a problem. - Overall my room was comfortable, especially the bed.   The motel is about 4 blocks downhill from the Amtrak Station and a very nice walk in good weather. Very convenient to restaurants and pubs and close to the Glenwood Springs Bathhouse. The motel is a older and starting to show her age, but still a very nice place. - The staff at the Silver Spruce made us feel warm and welcome.   The staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating. The place is definitely older. Very clean and what you would expect from a buget-friendly motel. Certainly no frills, but they do have a free complimentary breakfast (pastries, juice and things of that nature) and they even had an iron I could use for my business clothes. - I was surpris... what people say » ed by the quality of the room. It looked like it was totally renovated in the last few years. For a ski lodging it is a cut above the rest. We have even rented some homes in Pagosa that weren't as nice. The location to the restaurants was great. You can use my comments if you like.

  The owner was very friendly and gane me the primo room in the corner with the patio and table and chair out front. Motorcycycle parking was adjacent and secure. Even gave me a plate for the kickstand which is rare and appreciated. I was on an "americana" trip of 6 weeks and this was reminicent of a roadside motel that belonged on Route 66 from bac... what people say » k in that era. For the price and accomodations, it was a wonderful experience and mentioned to Jo that if was were to be in the area that night that - This was a Clean, Comfortable place to stay. Nothing fancy just a clean room with services. Good place to stop drop and get cleaned up. If your traveling in this area you do not need to spend much time in a room. Or with services, get out and enjoy.
