What people say
The breakfast room is maintained by a man who takes his job very seriously. It is clean, no food item is ever empty, and the coffee is great. Mugs are available. Our bed was extremely comfortable and the room was adequately furnished. Covered parking at no additional cost is a big plus. The location worked well for us to visit family in Selwood.
Staff were very helpful in answering questions on how to get around by car and local transit. Very comfortable beds with fluffy pillows. Extremely convenient location away from downtown but super easy access everywhere; mall is 3 blocks away. Excellent value for the money would stay there again.all reviews »
The breakfast was great!!! The gentleman that was making sure things got
stocked did a great job. Didn't talk though when we told him thank
you for everything he did. For the price and what was given &
location, would stay there again.
It was close to convention center and Lloyd shopping center.
Price is almost reasonable (for Portland, cause it seems that all hotels are a bit expensive in this city).
The rooms were nice, the staff was friendly, and the pool/breakfast were pretty good. It was in a pretty convinient location for doing things down town.
Pool, location, breakfast, staff, other people staying were nice.
All staff were pleasant and helpful.
Proximity to downtown was great value for the money when similar hotels
in the area were charging higher rates per night. The breakfast was
great, loads of choices but limited seating. Friendly helpful staff and
pleasant rooms. Good wifi connection, although slow when busy in the
evenings. Black out blinds made the room dark for sleeping. Comfortable
stay with excellent security measures for access.
Location to rail system. Bed & bathroom were very clean. Free parking.
The beds and pillows were soooo soft!!.
Convienance to trimet. And shopping.
Internet and Breakfast.
Liked the location and was attracted by the price.
Nothing.
air conditioning kept going off and not coming back on - our control was wall mounted not in the unit itself; single pane windows allow traffic noise to filter through.
Those darn ultra violet lights! And when we walked out into the pool we
were over taken by all the chemicals that were in it so decided not to
swim after all.
Some rooms are close to the street and a bit noisy.
Wall are really thin, so it's really bad if you neighbour is noisy or wants to watch TV late night.
Breakfast was so simple, and the same options everyday.
Gym lacked equipment.
The interior of the halls and common areas need some tlc, coverings on
the stairs need repairing and/or replacing. Nothing that a bit of
paint and effort couldn't fix. I didn't like the smoking area
outside of the pool but good that it was contained to one spot.
Thought we were going to be "downtown" as in the name. We had to take a rail for 30 minutes to get downtown so location to walk places did not work out.Rooms smelled stale.
The curtains did not close. Too much bright city lights at night and day light too early in the morning.
The hall smelled like chemicals.
It smells like a dog. It is incredible that policy to accepted dogs on the same place where there are people. Dogs make their needs on the carpets and inside the rooms. Some employees are very nice but others...
Next time I will pay extra $ to get a room with more stars in the area.
Hotel very old and the halls and rooms smell very musty and moldy. Rug
was smelly and had huge spots everywhere. Bathroom needs updating bad.
Was afraid to try the free breakfast! Upon checkout the girl at the desk
said the rate for Sunday night was $90 yet I was charged $101!!!! Would
not return!!!!.
Lack of Internet. Apparently our room couldn't pick it up, being
from Canada we need wifi, when I called the front desk I was treated by
a snotty girl who couldn't help me. I was also informed this hotel
was "downtown" which is not he case we walked about 1 mile to
get to the waterfront.
I look from the website and think that is a wonderful hotel. But in fact, on the contrary, this hotel does not worth the value.
