The owners were friendly and helpful in getting us a larger room that would fit a roll-a-way bed. The room was big. The front desk staff was helpful with recommendations for food. We were able to check in early and breakfast of English muffins, sweet rolls, coffee, juice and cereal if you wanted it was just right for us. The pool was cold and the hot tub hot, again, just right for us. It was hot and the office gave us a fan to use in our window. Looks like the owners are in the process of re-de.
all reviews » Excellent Staff at Port Townsend Inn. I had to extend my stay one extra night, but didn't realize that till I finished work that night. I called the "after hours" # and staff came to the office at 1:30am to check me in! So appreciated. I had such a wonderful time at the Inn, I wished I had stayed longer, but duty calls. Friendly people, I am so blessed to have seen the coast, it was fun, hoping to come back for a longer stay n visit. we were in Pt Townsend helping our son move to the east side of the state. The Inn was essentially a roof and bed for the night as we were in late and up and gone in the morning. It was nice. Room had kitchen with some utensils. The room was clean. Location was easy to get to. Staff was very friendly and kept in touch with us about our room. Clean, comfortable, helpful staff, microwave and frige in room, good continental breakfast, nice view, light house near. Very friendly staff. Nice location. Reasonable rates. Spacious room , comfortable bed and excellent shower. excelent location,very friendly staff, good value for money, good atmosphere. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub and the place was located in a good spot. The fact that it is the only one in town that has a indoor pool and hot tub. The staff was super friendly and attentive. The Inn is close to downtown Port Townsend. From upstairs room, had a great view of the water. The kids enjoyed the pool. Exterior of facility looked nice, great location and staff were nice. When I brought p problems with the manager some of them were solved. Quite far from the town center. Expensive for the quality. Hopefully the owners continue re-decorating as the furniture and bed covers look as though they are from the 70's; the bathroom was not quite clean in the corners (over all could be considered clean) and the bathroom window lacked a screen. We said to each other...you get what you pay for and we were happy at the price we paid for one night's accommodation. No complaints here. Wife is gluten intolerant and she could not eat any of the pastries put out for the continental breakfast - no fruit or yogurt. We see this a lot. It wasn't that I didn't like it, but cabinetry was worn, if that is something that bothers people. It didn't bother us at all. Hard bed, no food close. That it was over and time to leave. The bed was too firm for my liking but still slept soundly. Had problems with wifi connection. Thin walls - two guys in the adjacent unit kept us awake until about 2 AM with their sometimes loud conversation. Thin towels. No hangers. Building is dated. I had a hard time using the outlets. Outlets were loose. Pillows and bedding were poor quality.. Feather pillow was obviously old Noisy.. As drinkers came in from town at 1:30 there was a shouting match and fight in the parking lot stepping out of my room door, there was a ledge smelled musty no security in the evening.. Staff gone by 10:30 pm. Mirror was not clean, killed a small bug in bathroom, curtains did not fully block out light from street, and most important setting the heat at the bottom line of the comfort range caused the room to become unbearably hot so that I had to open the door for several minutes in the middle of the night. All three of us were uncomfortable sleeping. Many little things were wrong, such as no hangers, very thin walls, people placed in adjoining rooms even though the motel was fairly empty, curtains wouldn't close all the way, no security lock on the door. Basically it seemed a bit run down. Also no iron, no facial tissue. Poor breakfast, no fruit, only sweetened cereal. NO facial tissues in rooms (we asked housekeeping in the morning if they had just been forgotten - none on her cart for rooms). miiss understanding about roll away bed, no parking when we got to room in the evening,no toliet paper on next day in bathroom, no coffee replaced the next day.A little to exspensive for quality of room. Poor breakfast, worn facilities, poor value for money. The price and the bed and not much cable. And I was told they had no more rooms they had many that was available. The walls are paper thin, I could hear every breathe of our neighbors. We found wadded up paper bags and other minor trash in our room when we checked in. It was significantly more expensive than nearby hotels with equal or better facilities. The price was quite expensive for a place that still is decorated in 1970s style. Everything in the room was old, mold on bathroom ceiling, shower curtain falling off. Continental breakfast was cereal and packaged pastries. Definitely NOT a good value for the money!. The room was dated, dirty carpet, had a weird odor and just felt dirty. Things I expected to have: 1. A drape that closed properly. 2. A bath mat. 3.A bathroom sink without black and brown stains. 4. Paper towels in the holder. 5.Coffee packets with the pot. 6.Since kitchen was advertised I expected more than 1spoon 1 fork mismatched small pot anad lid. 7. There was a plate in the dish drainer? clean or used. The hotel is run down. The room smelled like mildew. It was not clean. The beds were old and uncomfortable. The pictures online were very deceiving.This is a really old run down hotel and the price was outrageous. For $139 a night I expect a lot more. I would never stay here again until they do a renovation. Our bathroom was really disgusting plus it was a handicapped bathroom so everything including the shower head was at wheel chair height. Their website mis-represented the true 'Inn'. This was more like a Motel 6 with a ridiculously high price! The room was dark, depressing, hot (no air conditioning), and looked in every way like it was out of the 60's or 70'S. This motel was definitely not worth the money I paid. I will never stay there again! For the same price, I stayed at a Hampton Inn in full luxury! Port Townsend Inn was a rip-off!!! I recommend that if you want a nice place to stay, do not stay here!. Run down for the price. It is outdated and a bit of a dive. Rude staff. I think the place is overpriced for what they have to offer. Way overprice, it really is just a motel and for $146 it is outrageous !. Our room had an unpleasant smell to it. Decor outdated (ie. the 70's vintage bathtub). Security was poor, no deadbolt, no chain on door. We did not stay for the continental breakfast. We stayed one night, n July 11 th, the pool wasnt heated as promised, and the hot tub had that scum foam Floating on the top n when we scimd it with thr pool net a bunch of hair was in the net! Gross! I refused to get in, even though that was why I booked this motel!!!. Motel in need of major renovation. Place was dirty used towel left in bathroom.in our 30 plus years of travelling it rivals the worst place we have stayed in any country. the room was awful, basic - closet open to room, tiny bathroom, cheaply outfitted and not in good condition - scuff marks etc. no soundproofing, very drab. Very old, 1960's No AC vinyl floors and formica counters in bathroom. Bad musty smell , Carpet was old and needed to be stretched where it had been flooded. Decor was garage sale quality. Damage to door meant there was no security. Was bite by something on two of the nights that I stayed there. The front office person that I dealt with did not seem to want to take the matter seriously. When I told her that I wasn't going to stay another night, she informed me that I had already paid for it, and that there was nothing that could be done.
