  Great location and very easy to get from lax airport. Close to Venice Beach and Santa Monica. Not the cheapest hotel in area but previous experience of Marriott quality did not disappoint.   A really nice place, we stayed here for 5 days over the weekend and it was wonderful. During low season there is no parking problem as mentioned from other guests. The included breakfast is absolutely sufficient to start the day, for more just walk 150m to Washington Blvd. which is also a good location for lunch / dinner. Would / will come again. ... what people say » - I love the size of the suite. It was like a 1bedroom apartment and the patio was clean and quiet and right outside - just steps from the sand/beach... What an awesome hotel!!!! The pictures didn't do any justice, it's better than the pictures. They forgot to post pictures of their patios, upstairs and downstairs for the 1bdrm suite's.

  I really liked this hostel, the workers are super friendly, the place has 24-hour security with a buzz-in door, I felt relatively safe, the location is unbelievably great - right opposite the skate park.   Everything was great. Don't let the exterior fool you. Very welcoming, from the staff to the environment. Beach is literally steps away. It is lively all around. Most people would complain about the noise, but you have to take into account that that's just the Venice/Santa Monica environment. Fun and the sun is at your doorstep. We asked for a beach/ocean view and were upgraded upon - Brilliant, friendly & helpfull staff. It's right on the famous boardwalk next to plenty of restaurants & a small convenience store. It's secure, with a good safety deposit box in the room & I felt safe despite the colour characters going in & out at night. My room was also impeccably clean, as was the whole hotel. - The staff at this hotel were sensational! We got to check-in early, had our bags carried up 3 flights of stairs (because the elevator was on the fritz) and got to check-out late so we could sleep off our jet-lag. Plus they have one of the best lobby spaces I've ever seen and there's rooftop access to watch the sunset over Venice.

  Loved this hotel. Great location, a stone throw from Venice beach & muscle beach, but still lovely & quiet. Really quirky design throughout the hotel. We stayed on the top floor which I think were new rooms. Absolutely lovely. Rooftop bar is a must at sunset and the menu mainly for snacks is really tasty. We were nervous about the people density of L.A. and, being walkers, had heard poor reports of the lack of pedestrian-friendly paths and even sidewalks. The hotel location was perfect. It was not only literally surrounded by boats but was right by the coast bike path and close to a number of interesting walks around the largest man-made marina in the world. Coupled with a very friendly staff, very close to Santa Monica and the tida
