Arrived after a long taxi ride, to the point orlando resort, it was a bit away from everything, not quite what we had expected. But if you have a rental car, then the location would be perfect, as it is quite a walk to restaurants etc. We had a lovely greeting at the reception area, and was informed of everything we needed, and had our bags taken by the delightful Josh, who was just lovely.The hotel does have a taxi service/company that they use, but it is slightly expensive and its not a norma.

Upon arriving there was a bit of an issue with room choice, but my issue was immediately addressed and my room was up graded with no further delay. The room was absolutely delightful and both myself and husband will never forget The point resort. The staff was friendly. The rooms was tended to everyday with fresh towels/replenished and the bed was made. Accessibility to all major attractions and sights are awesome as all attractions are only mins away. Clean, "home from home" as it states on their reception desk info booklet. Our second time there. Large well appointed rooms, all mod cons, oven, microwave, washer, dryer, fridge with ice maker, walk in shower jacuzzi, wifi throughout the resort. We stayed in one bed suite with fold out double for kids. More than adequate for family of 4. All of the staff are lovely, from reception to the pool to the maids. We will definitely be back. I like the fact that its off I Drive, on Carrier Drive/Unive. I loved the space in the flat. It was light and airy. It gave us room to pack... we also did a lot of shopping at the outlet villages. We visited Disney world and were captivated by it all, that we called the hotel to change our shuttle pick up time, and this was effected promptly. Staff were courteous and nice, and always had a quick chat with us at the end of the day. The best hotel I've ever booked! We got a great view suite for a cheap price, spacious, clean, bright and romantic with a wonderful balcony. Breakfast is satisfying. Position is great if you want to go to theme parks and there's also a free shuttle, but we reccomend to rent a car if you want to visit the downtown of Orlando because taxies are too expensive. Very Freindly staff - Excellent Service. Made us feel at home and I wouldnt hesitate to stay there again. The pool bar food was lovely and again excellent service. The suite was a bit small, but suited our needs. Fabulous bathroom and kitchen facilities. A quiet location good size pool for the kids after a day at the parks.Rooms were great all you need and more.Staff were all friendly and helpful .If we were returning to orlando would use the same hotel without a doubt. We stayed in the one bedroom suite. It was very spacious and quiet.We also loved the pool and cabana bar. Great location to Universal parks and other Orlando attractions and restaurants. Comfortable, clean rooms. Everything!!! The Point Orlando Resort was great since the moment we stepped into the lobby to check in. I liked how big the bathrooms were, I loved the kitchen and I loved the pool and cabana bar. Apartment was spacious and kitchen was well equipped. Room had very good sound insulation. I had a studio suite and it was quite comfortable and homey. Didn't have a "hotel" feel. The staff rooms excellent Specal thanks to Natalie on reception so helpful. Area appeared cramped as it was in the lobby area. My issue that was immediately addressed was the fact that all rooms do not have spa tubs. This needs to be cleared on sites that spa tubs are not available in executive suites. I did a lot of research prior to choosing the point just for this specific ambience. Nevertheless my concierge took care of this immediately by apologizing and upgrading the room. $7 for bottle of corona at pool bar. Nit picking though. the curtains are too short and the windows let a lot of artificial light in around the sides and bottom. The washing machine tub was loose I think. As it spun my clothes on rinse I thought the machine was going to jump out of the closet!...;0). Eating options inside the hotel are very few. Not a huge breakfast selection and little pricy No laundry service The gym was not up to date. Housekeeping was a bit lazy in my opinion. Didnt like that the food was served in plastic at the poolside in the eveing sitting at the counter of the bar. Parking situation was a little cramped not enough spaces for the guest. Refer to my response abour what I liked... There was nothing about The Point we did not like... I didn't like how uncomfortable the bed was it was just too hard. Breakfast was not included in the price. Breakfast a little pricy compared to restaurants close by. I was on the second floor and that light outside my window made it look like it was daylight in my room even when it was nighttime. Don't like sleeping with drapes closed, but it was either close drapes or put up with that light. I put up with the light. not a great room service menu. Didn't feel the resort fee was justified...all we got was free parking and wi-fi which most other hotels don't charge extra for..this is my only complaint. Nothing really. Gym should be a little outdate need improved. no phone book in the room. No direction of facility such as where to get ice. Drinks could be cheaper. Room service knocking door when we had arranged late check out. the sleeping arrangements we booked rooms to accommodate 4 to 8 people and the sofa beds are terrible, therefore the people who had the beds were fine, but the people on the sofa had a terrible experience. coffe close early. Could not rent movies on the TV. Was there for three days and the first day we had to ask for maid services. Not one time did the maid left soap,coffee in room . I had to go at the front desk. Sofa bed. breakfast selection was very poor and the service was poorly staffed. Staff had to be asked to replenish bagels , toast etc. spilt liquid was left on the floor casing a hazard. Cereals were of a poor quality. the vents for the AC were outside the bedroom window and were very noisy. Needs an indoor restaurant.
