The restaurant was wonderful. We went there for dinner and breakfast and really enjoyed it. It was very good for a hotel restaurant. The price was also reasonable for Newport in the summer. Brightly lit bathroom & clear mirror was a big plus and welcome change from other hotels. Well done lighting. We also very much appreciated the firm and plush mattress. Everyone was very helpful and cordial and very pleasant. We enjoyed breakfast at the restaurant and]the waitress very friendly and helpful; I would stay there again.

Fan in the bathroom was REAL load. Heater wasn't working so it got very chilly around 2 am and we had to call maintenance to come fix it in the middle of the night. We had to walk outside to get to our room and it was raining out. Would like to get to room from main lobby. Parking was an issue when we arrived back to the hotel late Saturday night. We were there on a Friday and Saturday night and while checking in the front desk was quoting the price for Sunday night---it was $100 cheaper....seems a little bit like a penalty for us staying on Friday and Saturday..... The pillows need to be replaced. They're 1/2 the size of a standard pillow! Also the fridge was extremely noisy!. Room number missing from door. Dirty towel hanging on hook behind door. Coffee from previous guest still in pot and coffee grounds still in pot. I cleaned the pot to make myself coffee. No room service on second day, even though we were not in the room for most of the day. The weather-- rain/ wind /snow / wind / wind . I live in michigan and the day we left the sun came out and the wind stopped. Weird shaped parking lot. Not easy to park and property needs better signs and a traffic light. had an "old" worn down feeling in rooms..probably needs to be renovated. blonde desk clerk not real friendly warm or interested in guests. needs customer some service training. Noisy hallway in early A.M. old televisions that were too small. noise outside the hotel, guests, after midnight. no free continental breakfast. Noisey environment. We asked for frig. in room. they put us in a handicap room. The pool was closed for the day . Whe choose this hotel because it had a pool. We were very dissappointed. Nothing. Lack of microwaves and Ref. in all rooms. It was ok. Pool was not clean at end of day. little bit old fashioned; deserves less noisy air condition and fridge; room cleaness was ok, but could be a bit better;. no comfortable seating in room Very noisy parties going on during my stay Location sort of dismal -- while not literally far from Newport downtown/waterfront, getting there by car was tricky and a little confusing. The price was very high for a tier-2 or 3 place & vs. Best Westerns elsewhere. The restaurant was poor- at least for breakfast. Quality was low, price high & waitress min. English-speaking. I woke up at 940am and I was up late the night before and all I wanted was a nice hot shower, there was hot water for about 30 seconds, then it went cold...not acceptable. I am not sure if I will be back. Facility is barebones and needs maintenance. Hallways creak and had some issues with the hot water in our wing. Mattress. mold in the bathroom.wish it had a small refrigerator. all the problems.
