  This was our first trip to the USA and New York.The staff were friendly and very efficient. Started with Peter who radioed our arrival to reception even before we were out of the taxi. Together with Caesar on the door they were always there with advise on destinations and restaurants, and treated us like we were family. The Girls on reception ( ve... what people say » ry sorry but I lost the card with your names but you know who you are) who had us booked in 5 minutes after arriving and were always smiling and alway - The location is perfect - right at Columbus Circle: 10 min walk to Times Sq but a residential area so no tourist crowds; lots of cafes and restaurants within a block or two; two subway lines just across the street from the hotel; extremely friendly and helpful staff -- they took time to know us and remember what we were there for and asked how things were going; rooms are large by NY standards and very well-appointed.   This hotel is in Chinatown and located only a few doors down from directly under the Manhattan bridge. Sounds terrible but it's not. We were on a budget and this hotel was perfect. It makes a huge difference being on Manhattan, so as long as you can stand the Asian smells on the sidewalk, everything from here is as accessible as anywhere else on m... what people say » anhattan. The metro is a 5 min walk away taking you to time square within 20mins or less. The room was large, clean and recently refurbished. The beds - I though the hotel was very clean, especially the rooms. The location was good, train stations were 3-4 blocks away which made getting around town easy. The neighborhood (Chinatown), although dirty was safe. Staff was friendly and tentative for the most part. The rooms, for being nyc were good size. There was not porter fee to pay for as a group booking.

Getting to 8th and 9th Avenue is easy - The hotel is less than 5 minutes walking distance to Times Square and to two separate subway lines which run 24hours. Sights such as MoMa and Rockefeller Plaza are walking distance away. The room, bed linens and bathroom towels were clean. Bathrooms were clean as well. Rooms were cleaned Dailey and towels refreshed daily a well. Staff was helpful and friendly. The queen room accommodated my needs perfectly. The bed was comfortable.

  Nice and spacious room with everything you need. . Bathroom was big and clean and had a nice vintage look. The whole building is just fantastic. It's got a special feel, hard to describe. A good tip - My room was in the Victorian Row house which was a few blocks up from the main location. I liked how insanely comfy the beds were. Also liked that there was a kitchen that I could use so I could have a cup of tea when I got in from traipsing the streets all day.
