Travelling as family with two older children 21 and 18, we chose the one
bedroom suite with two double beds (most comfortable hotel beds we have
ever slept in). The suite also had a bed settee in the lounge area. The
suite was spacious and very comfortable with super TV's in bedroom
and lounge, not that we spent much time watching the tv! Bathroom... what people say » had

which we only used for a light breakfast and coffee. We used the fridge
From the moment we entered the kimberly hotel in new york we were greeted with smiles from the receptionist. Our plane arrived in early so we knew check in was at around 3 o clock. So we were prepared to drop our bags and head off to check out the sights but to our surprise the room was ready for us when we got there which was fantastic. Really from there on the staff were great they even sent me up a birthday cake for my birthday:-)
The hotel was beautiful the bed was amazing so cosy and soft.

At the desk, Dennis verified my information quickly and was quite friendly (I've been to enough hotels in NYC to recognize when I'm not a "room number" [based on the amount I have paid for a room] vs a "real person" [treated as if it didn't matter which room I paid for. We were upgraded upon arrival. The rooms and bathrooms in this hotel are

comfortable. The location is fabulous. 3 minutes to Grand Central

Celebrated an anniversary with the wife. We live in Long Island so we
decided to book a room in the city for the night as we had tickets to a
broadway play and dinner reservations. We got to the hotel first to
settle in before heading out to dinner. We were presently surprised
that they had upgraded us to a sweet. The suite was beautiful, it even

night, but we did and the whole time we were thinking and couldn't

Hotel 414 was great! We visited in July 2013 for 8 days. We found all the staff to be super friendly and helpful. I loved that we had a fridge in our room too because I could buy my own lactose free milk and keep it in there to bring down for breakfast -
1.Great location in Midtown, it's right near everything; broadway shows, public transport, numerous restaurants, etc.
2. It's quiet; we had a room on the 3rd floor facing the courtyard and there was little noise from outside, or, from other rooms
3. It's reasonably priced. We stayed for 11 days and the total accommodation bill was great for a central Manhattan hotel
4. It feels more like a B & B than a big hotel which I much preferred
5. A good continental breakfast was included in the room

We arrived an hour early and were let into our room which we didn't expect. Staff were very friendly at reception and gave us free spanish tapas vouchers for use at the bar in the hotel. Lovely modern room with a huge really comfortable bed (more comfortable than the bed on the cruise ship that we joined a few days later). Loved the bathroom with brilliant shower and wall mounted containers of paraben free bodywash, shampoo and conditioner. The tapas were generous and very tasty. Police stat

I like the style, frankly the ' class ' that The Carlyle and that the staff exude. I stayed many times at The Carlyle in the 1980's early 90s, indeed had my wedding there in 1998.
