What can I see other than that the Waldorf Astoria is our favorite
hotel in New York !! It is romantic, the staff is excellent and makes
all possible efforts sometimes including upgrades to make our stay
memorable every time we come . Also the guests are consistently upscale
which is the more and more difficult to find nowadays in a hotel
belonging to a major hotel chain. Off course a historic building like
this cannot be as functional as some modern hotels, so you have to take

The hotel was very comfortable and the staff helpful and friendly. One
of the few hotels in the vicinity that offers free wi-fi in the room and

At the desk, Dennis verified my information quickly and was quite friendly (I've been to enough hotels in NYC to recognize when I'm not a "room number" [based on the amount I have paid for a room] vs a "real person" [treated as if it didn't matter which room I paid for. Stayed here for a couple of days before dropping my daughter to summer
camp. The staff here are so welcoming and bend oer backwards to please.
We were upgraded upon arrival. The rooms and bathrooms in this hotel are
huge compared to most rooms in Manhattan and the decor is funky yet
comfortable. The location is fabulous. 3 minutes to Grand Central
Station and about 10 minutes to Macys. I love this hotel so much that
I'm going back in 3 weeks to stay for a week!!!

We moved to this hotel from a lesser one farther downtown and found this
to be superb and for the same price. I didn't want my memories of
New York to include staying in an inferior hotel. All staff went out of
their way to be helpful, especially Ali who sent up the proper plug for
my computer very early in the morning.to friends. Location perfect,
walking distance to the subway, sights, Times Square and Broadway. Will

The front desk girls were amazing .... very happy and extremely helpful. We had room 1601 (on the 16th floor) and had a view of the Empire State Building which was fab. The hotel was very quite at night .... just what we wanted. We would definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend it to friends/family. For the money, it far exceeded our expectations. Greenwich and Soho are literally on the doorstep, so great for eating and shopping.
