OM-Gosh! What a hotel....
Firstly the staff are A-mazing and secondly the hotel is just marvellous.
This hotel is more like a private members club than a hotel, its chic, suave and sophisticated but by no means 'showey' like most high-end expensive hotels.
The attention to detail on furnishings in the drawing room and bedrooms is just exqusite. Di... what people say » ning in the courtyard-just delightful not to mention the food from nextdoor Locana Verde....

The closest hotel I have found is the Milestone in London. It has perfect, large rooms for NYC, free snacks and soft drinks, a wonderful spa, and enough quirks and charms to make it I suspect the best hotel experience in NYC. You can pay up for a fancy, big lobby but I think this is actually the best hotel experience.

When we arrived we were allowed to check in two hours early, and were given the choice of two different rooms - that was very kind and we got a big room as a result. The location is pretty great as long as you don't mind a bit of walking, but that's the same across New York. A bit expensive, but again, that's just New York. I'd stay there again - ... what people say » you don't need much more than a clean and comfortable place to sleep if you're on a busy citybreak. -
The location! Just two blocks away from Time Square. Unbeatable for this price. Plenty of foodshops around.
The staff: the receptionists were extremely friendly and helpful (thanks Joey! ;-) + they can arrange transport to the airport, which was extremely helpful. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely go back there on a next trip to NYC.

The hotel is well situated and is close to the subway, shopping and many interesting parts of the city.
The rooms are comfortable and attractively designed and decorated and the beds are amazingly comfortable.
The linen on the bed is soft and the pillows are perfect..
The hotel is not overwhelmingly large ... what people say » so it has a more intimate feel
The procucts in the bathroom are lovely.
We have stayed at the hotel at least 4 times and we plan to go back soon. -
For our first visit to New York we wanted to do it properly and the Hotel on Rivington was fantastic from start to finish! We were well looked after by all the staff and it offered everything we wanted. A Room with a stunning view of the city, a soft bed and in a great part of town.

The room was in excellent condition. Perfectly cleaned smelling fresh and and luxuriously designed The view from the 37th floor was to die for especially at night. Loved the location, the staff were excellent, we were upgraded upon
arrival for no additional cost. The staff made every effort to make sure
we were taken care of---oh, except for the day doorman. We needed a cab---
very easy to get by ourselves---but the doorman insisted on flagging one
for us. But, then he got involved with a couple checking in. We had to
leave and we kept telling him...so, we flagged our own cab. No big deal.

It was about the average price that you'd pay for hotels in Times
Square, but it was just outside the border of Times Square so it
wasn't really noisy and busy. Having said that, it was about a 30

We absolutely loved this hidden gem! From the entrance onward! Carlos
was very nice at check-in and check-out. The room was very much what we
hoped for. I was skeptical to stay at a place that had kitchenettes but
this was a pleasant surprise! Clean, plenty of room for us. Location
could not be beat!! We look forward to staying again as we travel to nyc
a few times a year. Lots close by. Walked everywhere from here and never
seemed far!! Radio City Apts made our weekend stay in ny awesome! So

I travel to NYC about 10 times a year. I have hotels at which I customarily stay, but this trip came up suddenly and everything was sold out or exorbitantly expensive. I found the Pearl based on two criteria -- it was not as expensive as some of the other hotels and it was highly ranked by both travelers and star ratings. I was very happy with ... what people say » my stay and will use the Pearl as one of my back-up hotels. I say "back-up" because it is not as conveniently located to the business I attend to wh -
We loved everything about this hotel. There was always a doorman to open
the door, and friendly staff at the desk to welcome us every time we
returned to the hotel. The elevators were fast. The room was very
comfortable, with high-quality furnishings. Loved the Keurig
coffeemaker, and the tv in the bathroom. Enjoyed the free breakfasts,
and there was always a New York Times available to read with our coffee.
