This is a wonderful hotel, with impeccable design that translates effortlessly from the big picture to the smallest detail. The rooms are exceptionally comfortable, and offer a luxurious retreat from the city. They feel like a Paris apartment from an earlier age, with contemporary facilities and comfort. They are spacious, with wonderful natural light (I stayed in room overlooking the street, so can't speak for ones looking into the atrium) and lots of small touches that delight. The restaurant.
all reviews » I really can't say enough good things about the Nomad. We absolutely loved our stay there - the staff is wonderful, everyone wants to help you any way that they can. The rooms are beautiful, and the bath products will make it so you never want to use anything else to wash your body. We could only book at the Nomad for a few days and had to stay the rest of our time at the Soho Grand. We REALLY wanted to go back to the Nomad. If we can afford it, we'll definitely be back! I think I'd feel disapp. Friendliest welcome I have ever got arriving to a hotel. Staff was always helpful to whatever request we had and every time dealt with us with a smile. Room was big enough to be comfortable and had a nice view of the Empire State Building. The bath tub was great as was the very convenient iPad/iPhone docking station. A neat touch was a in-room cook book from the chef of the restaurant downstairs, which, by the way, is excellent (have the roasted chicken for two!). Also extra thanks must go to . Staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel was very clean and sleek design. The hotel is in a perfect spot as it is in the middle what we wanted to see, Plus Macys is only a few blocks up which was amazing to shop in. The food in the NoMad hotel was amazing no fault there at all. Overall will be staying there again when we visit. I lıke the desıgn,not classıc,too classy ,the restaurant is lıvely but abit cold:)in the morning ,Ilıke the room,it was comfartable ,the bed was very comfartable ,and the lınıngs ,the pıllow all good ,the girl in the receptıon helped us frıendly and made our reservatıons very good ,the men outsıde also were very helpful and handsome. ok Seriously this is now my Favorite hotel in Manhattan. My favourite part is that the toilet & shower are separate.. for when you and your ahem, guest have different needs.. The bed is the most comfy I've ever slept in and breakfast is seriously delicious. The room was very comfortable and beautifully appointed with a claw foot tub, lovely artwork and large windows. Turn down service was very nice as was linens, towels and other amenities. The bellman was helpful and friendly; overall service was excellent. The hotel is really lovely in design terms but in a very confortable and intimate way. The library room is a wonderful room and the best place to meet and have a drink in. Delicious 40 thieves cocktail and huge ice cubes that melt slowly!. Beautiful hotel, very stylish bedrooms and communal areas. Lovely and clean. One very friendly doorman, Jack. Made us feel very welcome. Room really quiet - ask for inner room. Q N R subway just outside door made for a great location. The interior design and attention to detail was very impressive. I recommend this hotel for a visit to New York. Interesting neighborhood (Madison Square Park & Flat Iron District). Close to subway (across the street). Comfy bed. Claw-foot bath right at the window line (you could shut the drapes for privacy). We got in early and they were able to get us into a room right away. The bellman offered to help us if we needed any advice on the city. The room was gorgeous not just a cookie cutter standard room. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Front desk staff has an attitude, which was strange because the rest of the staff is courteous and very customer friendly. Wifi wouldn't work, asked for help at front desk. Very unhelpful and didn't seem too bothered whether I got it working or not. Subsequently found a helpline number in my room in the hotel booklet. Sorted out the problem very easily. Can't understand the front desk attitude or why they didn't direct me to the helpline in the first place. Food and drink in the hotel very expensive. This is a very old building so a few groans from the pipework had to be accepted. Whilst the decor is very stylish is is quite dark. Noise from the traffic outside the hotel, but it is New York City and it is mid town. Front of house staff could have been more attentive, a little too laid back. Very small rooms. The lighting was very dim everywhere - lobbies, corridors & elevators - although they had dimmers at each fixture in the room so you could modify lighting levels there. Had to call room service for ice - and it didn't show up at night unless you asked for it. Front rooms will hear subway noise throughout the night. Nothing. The block around it isn't particularly charming or full of shops or restaurants. However head a few blocks in any direction and there is plenty of great stuff. The location is not great - near the Flat Iron building (which is good for a photo) and Eately (which is good for eating), but that's about it. Nothing !. Inner courtyard views directly to other hotelrooms. As a hotel interior designer I am very familiar with Jacques Garcia and I am a huge fan, love his work, however I thought it looked like he turned this project over to a junior designer. The design lacked the beautiful interesting details that distinguish his style from all other designers I found the lobby too dark and gloomy especially the choice of brown and black. I thought the restaurant areas more interesting ...also the elevator needs art work. They put salt/pepper rather than letting the customer put it on - on their breakfast eggs. Our room had not been made up on our first day when we returned at 4.30pm after a long day of sightseeing. No dislikes. Nothing. Would love to have a coffeepot in the rom. Location though convenient was on very busy street (Broadway). Despite this room was quiet. The $75 candle in mini bar. I know it's special but come on. 3 things:the step machine in the fitness centre seemed broken or in need of adjustment when I went to use it....I had been under the impression that I could print a (travel)document from my computer @ the hotel and it was an inconvenience that I couldn't ...coffee/tea should be included in a hotel room of this quality/price. My main complaint is that you do not offer free coffee in the lobby or coffee makers in the room. Room service coffee -- just coffee for one -- was $15. Doesn't seem to be very guest friendly. Didnt refill the soap and shampoo daily. Would be good to have coffee/tea facilities in room Very dark corridors meaning can hardly see anything Took a long time to be served in bar. Close neighbourhood a bit tatty but one only has to walk a block or two to be out of it. Strange people in the surroundings, room quite small. Light was out in shower, ac didn't seem to work, hair dryer was broken, they need to learn to serve good strong hot tea (mine was weak and lukewarm, even after saying so and receiving a 2nd pot). Dark, black painted lobby that always smells cooked food due to its close location to the kitchen. Room and parts of hotel too dark, inflexible room service. No spa, pool, terrace.
