The staff is hands down, the best. Rooms are small. However very modern and very clean. It's a wonderful place to stay.

This is an amazing hotel. I almost didn't want to leave it. The room was lovely, the staff also lovely, with wonderful recommendations on things to do and local restaurants. I wish I'd been able to take advantage of the gym and free bike rentals! Maybe next time.

Ideal location for East Village.A quiet well designed room. Particularly liked the stunning 21st floor breakfast area. The complimentary breakfast was much appreciated.

We were not informed when breakfast was moved to 2nd floor. This was a pleasant area also.

We came to marry in nyc and sent in advance a request to be on an upper floor. We were immediately replied and we were upgraded to a corner room. Upon our arrival we were welcomed by champagne in our beautiful room, and were also given treats later on. The staff were attentive to any question, request or whim we had. The breakfast on the 21st floor penthouse was much to our liking, and we hope it will continue later on, even when no constructions are going on. Those constructions did not affect our stay and enjoyment even one bit.

This has already been a bit of a problem the last time we were here - the air conditioning is quite noisy. We had great weather so we didn't sleep with it on, but it could bother some people.

Staff were extremely attentive and went out of way to help and leave complimentary gifts throughout the such as san pelligrino, fresh fruit and beer! The penthouse complmentary breakfast was AMAZING! Such a great start to every day looking at the city skyline.

The only downside was the size of room but hey it's nyc.

The view from the bedroom was breathtaking,as well as the view from the penthouse on the 21st floor / breakfast room . Hotel was clean, staff polite .

No Mirror in the bedroom to get dressed, no bin either. Mattress too soft ( really really soft, you felt yourself drowning in the middle of the bed ) . Staff charged a no show fee despite our early cancellation of the first night and despite them telling us they wouldn't . They accepted to refund it after twenty minutes of explanation.limited choice of hot beverages for the breakfast ( no hot chocolate )

Perfect location for family visiting NYU. We were upgraded and had a wonderful suit on the 20 th floor with amazing views. We had no issues with the current construction on the main floors and appreciated the complementary breakfast on the penthouse floor.

Ideal location for someone interested to be at a walking distance from soho / nolita. Amazing view. Comfortable and clean. Even though the lobby is going thru some renovation work, it didnt bother us at all.

The hotel freezes 125$ extra per night as a security fee that is released at the end of the stay as long as u didnt eat anything from the mini bar or damage the room.

I loved the view at night. The bed was absolutely comfortable and the room service was fast and friendly

I didn't like the blinds. I think it should've come together in The middle bc to get a little light in the room we had to open the blinds from the opposite ends. (It's annoying) and the tub was really high (at least to step into and I'm 5'9")

We had an amazing stay in nyc and it had a lot to do with our stay at The Standard. The staff was so service minded and helpful 24/7! I asked for a room on a high floor and we ended up with the most amazing view which made our trip unforgettable. Even though the lobby and restaurant was under construction the experience the hotel as a whole was very satisfying. It did not bother us at all. I will recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to stay at a great hotel with service minded staff and the best location possible.

It was a nice hotel with a good location in the city. It was very clean and the staff was quick at responding to you when you needed something. They even brought me a DVD player at 2am and a bag of ice when I hurt my foot very quickly.

Since it is under construction it can be very noisy during the day. I didn't think we would be able to hear the construction but we could hear jack hammering even on the 8th floor. They did give us a discount and free breakfast for the inconvenience so that was really great. The rooms are very tiny, but I guess that is to be expected from a hotel in NYC.

The rooms are very small. It was fine with one person, and the supreme city views do not leave you feeling clostrophobic, but 2 people in a room would be tight.

We didn't want to leave!!! Jill on reception was amazing, house-keeping immaculate, view amazing, breakfast in the Penthouse-a novelty and great breakfast items on offer. I had free access to the Gym across the road which is gorgeous and a really luxurious place to work out. The Standard's vibe, ambience, attention to detail and level of service was amazing.
